Apart from outdoor sports, I'm baffled as to the amount of people who want snow.

I see that it's mostly Americans. Serious question even if it does snow, some of you probably just get a little bit more than flurries, no?

Here in montreal, we aren't getting snow and I love it. I rarely ski and mostly now I play ball hockey indoors.

You know the weather is great when girls are wearing those tight *** leggings.

Snow is just... I dunno, it has a link to my childhood and when I was so excited to see the snow come down. It's such a pure state and it's so beautiful to see it on the ground.

Well that's the theory for the most part, and I think it applies to how Candy and others may be feeling.

Think of the global climate as a wavelength. It has peaks and valleys and of course for every ice age there's a warm age.

We try to control earth and nature so much, but do we really understand how earth's climate and temperature changes are? I mean, we only live for a few decades, modern technology can't date back to the beginning of time, is it really enough to know "earth" to the point where we ourselves are to blame for certain changes?

I can't say I can explain it, but I just do and always have, liked snow. Maybe it's because summers last so long and often are so hot and miserable or gray and miserable. And by snow I mean more than flurriers or dusting, like an inch or so.

So it's been the hottest every in the past 10 of 11 years (going back to records, which I don't believe is terribly long, correct?), that's bad so what now? There are certain things I do worry about that I shouldn't and it's just as pointless as worrying about global warming, climate change or whatever. You can't reverse it or stop it so of course helping the environment is nice, but overall nothing to be worried about considering your impact is way too small.

And great posts Superstar and Rag3vsW0rld. (pretty much summed up what I was going to go on about )

I think that, if the earth wanted to really rid itself of us, that would hardly be a problem.

I think this entire thing is blown so far out of proportion just like this thread is... but hey, according to some, its going to be so hot, that the glaciers up north will start melting.

Again I ask you, what's the excuse for Mars' polar caps melting right now? Did we do that too?

Nothing we are doing, as humans, is contributing to this, and no one has ever proved it. That's why global warming is a joke. Yes temps have gone up lately but no one has ever proved it's anything that us mere humans have done. It's cyclical.

Global warming is supposed to be about the entire world warming up all season right? Usually it's raining and in about 5-8 Celsius (40-45 Fahrenheit?) in Vancouver. Now, it's snowing and blisteringly cold. I second what you said there about global warming.

Yep, you have to blame humans for everything that occurs in the universe.

                        lol...
according to the experts, "human activities" and cow flatulence are the 2 main reasons for those icce caps on Mars melting.

We get a decent amount in Pittsburgh.

I'm with you though....if I never saw snow again, I'd be fine with it.

With that said, it's in the forecast for tonight, tomorrow and Tuesday.

I am not going to claim I am some kind of scientist. But more and more water should be evaporated with rising temperatures which would explain why Colorado is being decimated by snow.

Regardless, snow and cold weather are a necessary part of the environment and I know it feels nice to have warm weather but it is not good for the environment.
