Re: U.S. Dead Last in Healthcare ranking

I was told by my cousin who works for BC/BS that hospitals spread the costs of non paying patients to insured ones, sometimes putting their tests on my bill. robbing peter to pay paul thing..
Uhh, I'm pretty sure that would be illegal.

Re: U.S. Dead Last in Healthcare ranking

This list is BS. Basically, this is due to France being socialist and we not being socialist. France's doctors and surgeons are crap, but the people are able to obtain healthcare for free. Oh wait, is it free? Ah, that's right! That's why France has over a 10% unemployment rate and such high taxes. They have to pay for these things through VERY high taxes!!!

As one man back in the 1950s put it, "If you think healthcare is expensive now, wait till it's free." I don't remember who said that quote, but it is so true.

Sure the Democrats will give you universal healthcare, but they'll also double your taxes, keep the death tax, let Bush's tax cuts expire in 2010, ect.

People, socialism=crap care, crap industry, crap government, crap everything. Without a cash incentive to provide excellence, why do it. I remember reading a fiction book once about this guy who created this new kind of steel that was stronger than normal steel. After making little money on his invention due to socialism, he simply stopped caring and stopped inventing. Without incentive, what's the point of doing anything?

I remember reading a fiction book where a girl was raised by dolphins. When she was brought to a facility by humans she ended up depressed and later died. Because of humans this little girl became depressed. Down with humanity.

I think the bottom line is this:

Although you can argue that Socialized Health Care may not be the best way to go, it is almost fact that unless you're really well off (and some of you who think you are well off are not. Don't mistake the fact that you can get surgery on your knee with a serious ailment that needs continous treatment), American health care sucks.
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

Where are you getting the info to back up your social health care = crap care? Because Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity told you so?

If not, please provide some explanation as to how you came to that conclusion.

The book has enormous truth to it. Capitalism is the reason the US was and still is successful. That's why it's been so great. People have incentive to do great things. Many of our great inventions have came right from the good 'ole US of A! God Bless the USA!!!

Well, I get this info from my father who is a retired Air Force pilot and various resources over the years. My dad used to fly all over the world and he has seen many things firsthand. Over in Europe, he distinctly remembers people having rotten teeth and such. Why? Because it took so long to get to the dentist office due to socialized medicine that they had to pull their teeth out or their teeth would rot since it took so long.

Don't forget about Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh too!
