Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
This title will be on release date. Universal is the only studio that I don't get films early from due to their strict policies.
High Def Digest has their review up - http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/1932/serenity.html

That deal through Amazon is nice. I thought they were going to run it to 12/31.Comment

I hope so, but they haven't been advertising it at all. When you click on "deals and promotions" on the product page for that Panny player, it says nothing about the $100 off deal - just something about blu-ray and free mp3s. I'm hoping the player drops fifty bucks again.

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
"A week after hitting store shelves, the Blu-ray release of Warner Brothers 'The Dark Knight' has sold over 1.7 Million units worldwide, shattering all previous Blu-ray sales records. The film, which stars Christian Bale as the caped-crusader, is set to break $1 Billion at the box office, and some execs feared that home video sales would be hurt by such success. Those fears were alleviated after selling through 600,000 Blu-ray units on the first day, and sales of the landmark title have been continuing at a record pace.
In comparison, 'The Matrix' DVD release in 1999 - which is generally recognized as the title to spark sales of the format - sold 780,000 units in one week. The Blu-ray release of 'The Dark Knight' has more than doubled that accomplishment."
Anyone else think it was stupid of Sony to NOT have a TDK bundle with the Blu-ray and Lego Batman packaged with the PS3?Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
Just as a point of comparison, Mamma Mia sold 2.25 million DVD and Blu ray copies and TDK sold 3 million DVDs and blu rays on the first day of release.

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
Hey, it's not my fault nobody can see halos on the movie (and no, I'm not talking about Mamma Mia). Again, what's the point of reviewing BD's if they seemingly all look the same quality-wise? Some still look better than others. TDK is one of those better looking ones, but that EE is detracting the 35 mm image quality.
Now, I'll ask again... did anybody see Mamma Mia? How was the movie?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
