Agreed;aside from a couple noticeable shots with EE,this is actually a good transfer.A classic case of "mass hysteria".Most people commenting on those forums haven't actually watched the thing, anyway.

Here is a very fair review: http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/2524/gladiator.html

Best Buy running the deal in-store as well.Buy both for 34.95,and if you have the SD versions, you can get a 10 dollar rebate for each.

Just watched Gladiator on BD and let's just say I'll be buying it. It looked and sounded great to me! I don't know what these reviews saying it looks bad are talking about. I'm watched it on my Sony 55" SXRD projection TV in 1080p and it was superb. DTS Master Audio was outstanding. I was reminded why this was such an excellent movie.

Anyone know if all seasons of The Office will eventually make it to blu-ray? I'm thinking of buying them all on DVD format aside from season 5 since it's on BR, but would wait if they all make it on the format.

As popular as the show, the question is when and not if. Just like Lost, they'll all eventually make it to blu ray.

Snakes on a Plane comes out tomorrow on blu ray. Debating about whether to pull the trigger at $14.99 on Amazon.

I don't think I need to see Snakes on a Plane ever again - I don't want to ruin how awesome I remember it being in the theatre.

Wizard of Oz comes out next week - will be nice to see how the HD looks with Dark Side of the Moon synched.

The 007 3packs are on sale for $30 and free shipping today on Amazon. I believe it's a 1 day sale only.

Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans

Wizard of Oz this week - I can't wait.
                        Blu-ray.com Review:
What more can I say? I was blown away by the Blu-ray edition of The Wizard of Oz; so much so that I'll be purchasing the collector's set for several family members this Christmas season. It offers an acclaimed '30s classic, a masterful restoration, a near-perfect video transfer, an equally impressive TrueHD audio track, and a slew of supplemental features, additional full-length films, and mesmerizing documentaries. And let's not forget the high-quality bonus items included in the box itself. As far as I'm concerned, this box set is fairly priced (especially considering the immense value contained within) and deserves to find its way into the hands of every fan, young or old. Well done, Warner... well done.

AMZ has it for $52 - not sure what other places have it listed for. $50 is definitely worth it for me on release day - the package looks excellent.

Target has it for $34.99, but pretty sure it's not the big box. Which in reality is fine with me, just the normal disc with movie and features.
