Going through a refresher course right now since I haven't watched it in full since it went off. I actually watched it live since Season 1 and lived in Bmore for a little while so I'm familiar with a lot of the scenery and local aspects to it.

Not sure. What's weird is that some of my On Demand shows (Comcast) are in HD and some aren't.

Ah, I did one of my own internet pet peeves. Asked a question before doing research. A quick Google search gave me my answer:

All 60 episodes will also be available in HD on HBO GO starting December 26.

No need to paraphase it, Wallace was about to snitch, and Bodie was about to snitch, which was the great "the game stays the same" moment for them. The wire did that a lot. Despite the changes the game will be the game for as long as there are corners and people that hunger for the high or the money.

The culture of this small world was developed so well that not one death affected me nor surprised me; every player in the game was expendable.

What really surprised me, according to IMDB, was that only 8 actors appeared in all 60 episodes. If I were to guess the number, it would have been lower than 8.

I figured it would only be McNulty. It would only be cops for obvious reasons. Bunk, Kima, Lt. Daniels, Carver and Herc. I know Lester and Prez wasn't in the first episode. So last two would have to be Rhonda and Rawls or even Bubblez.

Not really sure why since the show has been cancelled for almost 7 years, but I feel the need to put this in spoilers

So my dad and I have been debating about whose death we felt the most sympathetic about. Now I went way back to season one and chose Wallace, the 16 year old "snitch" who was killed by Bodie and Poot. I think it was the angle of Wallace taking care of all those kids in one apartment and serving as a parent figure to them which truly made me feel for him when the hit was ordered.

My dad went to season four and picked Bodie. He said that he felt Marlo did Bodie dirty by watching Bodie build up his corner only to demand it be taken from him. He also admired Bodie not backing down from Chris and Snoop to only be taken out from behind.

So my question is, what death impacted you the most?

First Omar, then Butchie and Joe.

It would have to be Stringer's for me only because I still didn't see it coming at all. He was such a major character and really the first shocker I've seen on television where you felt like a main guy was taken out. Bodie's sucked because I liked him so much lol but back then characters like Stringer didn't really get taken out like that (especially on the penultimate (sp) episode.

Stringer was one of my favorite characters EVER on a tv show but i knew he had it coming. As for Omar, damn that was just crazy and I remembering I had to pause the show for a bit to collect what happened. He was always a step ahead of all the other crooks and he only had his guard down once and thats all it took.

I'm on season 2 and at first like others don't like it as much as other seasons but I've grown to appreciate it the more I watch it. I got goosebumps when Prez worked on the board during "Walk the Line" montage. All the work to build the case peice by peice and connecting everything. ****in A
