Yep, checked and it's definitely 5-20-10. Makes sense that it's either the finale (seems very likely) and/or the date that the two worlds are set to collide.

Ha, I didn't think of it from that angle. I was thinking they were doing that since it was primarily a flashback episode.
But yea, I thought it was an awesome episode. It didn't really tell us things we didn't know, but it expanded on how they happened. Glad that this show is still going strong, most of the other drama show's I am watching have pretty much fallen off...
I did think there was a weird moment when Walter was about to go through the portal (?) and the lady (can't think of her name right now) said "You know how important Peter is to me as well". Did I miss something about the relationship between the two?Comment

That (and I do agree that it's part of the reason) and/or because I'm going to assume that the all knowing Nina Sharp is aware of how special Peter is to whatever it is she's trying to do as Massive Dynamic - and really, this is my next biggest question about the show. I'm pretty sure we won't get an answer till much later in the series, though.
Does anyone think it's safe to assume that Peter is so intelligent because he comes from a dimension that was years ahead of our dimension? They were so advanced so I think Peter, and most of the people there, are smarter by default.
The next thing I'm interested in seeing is how Peter adapted to this new dimension. He comes from a world where there were RZRS in the 80s. He came to a world where Zach Morris was cool for carrying a dumpster against his ear. Just curious about that. He had to have questions.
Maybe someone remembers, but what's the story with the mother again? Did she die unexpectedly, expectedly, whatever it might be?
edit: When you see things like Nina Sharp losing her lower right arm, it makes you smile. It made me smile. I like having things to show people that doubt these shows have a plan.
I go back to the head producer saying that they already knew the ending of the show and that every main cast member was present with one caveat: they might or might not look like the people we see. I don't think that's the case. I think their world is technologically ahead of ours for the same reason 2010 technology is ahead of 1980 technology. I don't know why the other world gained 30 years of tech advancement on ours, but it might have been a combination of setbacks, gains, bad luck, good luck over the years that produced the disparity. Besides, Walter's IQ (196) is higher than Peter's (190). A case could be made that both gained intelligence through their inter-dimensional journey-Walter and Peter would be listed 2nd and 4th respectively on the Highest IQ Ever Recorded List.Comment

A bit slower paced, yes. It doesn't bother me. I think Fringe has done a good job of balancing overall arc with some independent stories.
What I find confusing (though I guess it could have been forced because of the actor's commitment) is Peter just dropping Olivia's sister and suddenly turning his focus on her. Well, it wasn't sudden. I think there was chemistry since the beginning. The writing implied it from the start, but the characters ignored it.
