I really like how they didn't hold the audience's hand during this episode. It was totally geared to the fans who have been there from the beginning and who have been paying complete attention to the overreaching narrative.

LOL, I really struggled at taking the guy from Ferris Buellers Day Off seriously.

Felt like a filler episode for the most part (but still good).

            Re: Fringe anyone?

I'm cool with Bellivia - which is what people seem to be calling it. I expect the very weird with this show.

Nice interview with Executive Producer Jeff Pinkner saying they have 6-8 seasons worth of material. They aren't necessary to tell the whole story, but would include chapters to enrich the story. He is hoping FOX gives them the chance to show them.

There was also an interview talking about Sam Weiss and how he hints at one point that he is older than he looks. "I'm older than I look. I don't remember my childhood." That carried on into talking about the First People - a race that lived on our Earth before this current species - and the link between Weiss and the First People.

Also, (and this is why I want to watch the Pilot again) Pinkner talked about Walter and William knowing that Peter was expected to have a larger purpose and being affected by the changes in the universe. They showed a clip from the Pilot when Walter first sees Peter and how he examines his eyes to make sure everything is all right with him. Later, in season two, William does the same to Peter and comments that he is happy everything is in order with him.

The more things pop out about this show the more I think it's better constructed than Lost. Though, I think that's more a result of knowing what went wrong (or rather what could have been done better early in the series) with the show.

Pinkner also said the device will come into play this season as will a cliffhanger regarding what happens between the two universes.

FOX just renewed it for a 4th season. Was this a foregone conclusion?

That's great news as this third season gets better every episode.

Really like the connection between this past episode and the second episode of the entire series with the accelerated aging of an embryo.

I'm disappointed that they didn't show any sort of motivation for why they abducted Bolivia in the first place, never mind accelerating her baby's growth (unless I somehow missed that).

I imagine it has something to do with that weapon thing that only peter can use. I guess the kid may end up being able to use it as well or something.

or maybe the baby will be used to try and lure Peter back.

                          Re: Fringe anyone?

Yea, it definitely had something to do with the weapon and Walternate's lack of motivation to use children as test subjects.

I also think Walternate knew that the acceleration would prevent VPE(?) from spreading and killing his grandson and his best agent. There was a lot of backstory involving that, a lot of talk about it and Walternate's whole speech about not letting anything take away his grandson or hurting Olivia. They just didn't make it very clear. It was a subtle confirmation that Walternate knew what Olivia's doctors told her about the birth.

I guess we have to assume that everything was done with the knowledge of knowing it had to be done.

A bit confused over here, excuse my slowness..lol

Who abducted Bolivia? At the end they take blood from the baby and the guy who was with the team accelerating the birth (at least I think he was with them) gave the blood sample to Alternate-Brandon, who then gave it to Walternate? So Walternate was behind the whole thing?

I was trying to watch as my gf was talking and asking questions so I think I may have missed something.

That's a lot of assumptions and jumps in logic. Walternate is adamant "no experiments on children" but then experiments on his own unborn grandson? Walternate wants to protect his agent and grandson by kidnapping, drugging, experimenting, etc on them? Walternate wouldn't just wait for Bolivia to find out about her condition then giver her the only alternative to death? Also the lengths Walternate went to find Bolivia, including giving out secrets, doesn't quite jive with him being behind this.

I guess it's possible that Walternate didn't know about the VPE and just needed the baby to be born ASAP, but there are also problems with that (assuming the baby will effect the machine the same as Peter since his mother and father don't effect it either).

I don't remember the whole thing with the blood sample, I remember them taking it but not them handing it off to Walternate. I guess my DVR cut it off or something.
