I think that was his plan to get the survivors back to the island.
The fact that he keeps saying "I'll get them back even if it kills me" over and over again, suggests that.
And I'm sure he'll be revived somehow when he returns.

Supposedly he did kill himself, at least according to those die-hards who analyzed/magnified the obit that Jack his holding in the S3 finale. I think Jack/Kate mentioned it to each other at one point but I can't remember off the top of my head.

That of course means nothing, Ben could have set something up or published the obit as a cover up.

Yeah, I'm not going to lie, but lets just say if I was Sawyer and I wasn't on the island, I guarantee I'd be getting some from chicks who didn't have 2 spearmint chicklets for front teeth.

I don't think I'd even waste the time getting to the hatch. The forrest would provide plenty of cover...

Hell, maybe the Smoke Monster or a Polar Bear would protect us from any peeping toms.

It's possible because they are directly connected to DHARMA. Alvar Hanso was responsible for building the facilities designed to alter the Valenzetti Equation (those Numbers again). If Lost goes into DHARMA's back history then I'm sure Hanso will be a big part of it.

where do you hear all the info about the Valenzetti equation and the altering of it? Ive watched every episode and you seem to know more about it, I feel lost, no pun intended lol

A bit out there, though. It's an interesting theory, but where is he pulling this on Ben's mother, Emily, being an DHARMA member? Kind of out of left field with that one.

I said it last Wed and a few others have mentioned it, but last week's ep was pretty blah and the cliffhangers haven't exactly been great from week to week this year.
