I'm sorry but thats stupid. Lets take your RR example. Lets say Ms. Nancy humiliated you in that episode. Why would you go back in watch that knowing that the video would make you upset? Same thing here. Whats more likely to happen is the kids will watch it years later and not even care and if they think they will be affected they wont watch it.

Also Ive watched more episodes of this program than I care to remember because of my job and the show doesnt show J&K arguing all the time. Its 5 seasons of the kids interacting with their parents. With the exception of this season, its a happy show.

I totally disagree with you and I think most counselors would too, but that is cool. Like I said before this is your job, so I am sure you know more about the lady than I do. The kids will go through a lot more problems because of this show. Compare to being on no show at all. Divorces is hard enough on the kids, now throw a show on top of that. Not good.

These kids will be ridiculed for something out of their control. "Your moms a *****! Your dad's a cheater!"

Any other family going through the same exact drama in the privacy of their own home has one less thing to deal with.

So IMHO, there is absolutely a difference.

She's making it sound like Jon got violent. At least that's how I took it.

Nah thats just legalese. She is probably referring to the cheating.

LOL...here is the choice. Raise 8 kids on a salary of 60-70k a year (Thats a little on the high side for Jon's job) or raise your kids in a situation where they are finacially secure for the rest of their lives but run the risk that the publicity may affect your kids. I dont know about you but I'm picking choice #2. I'd rather have a camera follow me and my kids around than have us on welfare.

No one thought the show would be this popular. No one thought that this subject would be such a popular subject for the tabloids. When Jon's cheating accusation broke I laughed because no one ever thought a TLC show would be on the front page of a tabloid. So no one not even J&K could have expected this.

Yeah, Kate was always like this, and I think having 8 kids just eventually took its toll...IMO this would have happened sooner without the show.

I'm still wondering if Jon did cheat on Kate. He seems awfully mad all the time. I was wondering if Kate saw the pics or heard the stories that Jon was out galivanting around and she decided to cheat on him. Then Jon found out what she did and told her he didn't cheat on her, just was in the wrong place, wrong time. Hence all the anger he appears to show while on TV this year. Sadly I now can add "Jon and Kate" to my conspiracy theory list.

From what I heard they had a understanding with regards to cheating on each other. Who knows if that is true. If kate did all this fixing her self up how can you say she has not changed because of the show. I see it like this; she likes all the attention and all the book signings and she doesn't want to give that up. Also, Holbert do you work in PR for this show or your network, because you sure like to paint a good picture about this show? I will say it one more time, these kids will in up suffering because of this show. I hope I am wrong, but I doubt it. (But yeah at least they got all that money.)

Also, Kate had major help from people, but she wanted better things then the people were giving.

I agree with your thoughts. Jon seems more like a "beaten down man" not a "cheater who got caught"...I more get the feeling that Jon's just given up and is going through the motions, I dunno.

If you had that many kids would you do this show? I know the money is hard to turned down, but I would not do this. I like my life private and I feel like this is pimping your kids. I could be the only one that feels this way, but that is cool.
