If Kate wasn't such an overbearing, controlling bitch, then maybe they wouldn't have had so many issues......

TLC needs to pull the plug on this show for the children's sake.

Did Jon and Kate try counseling? Sounded like communication was a huge issue and yet, there was no mention of them trying to actually fix the problems they had.

During that whole episode it sounded like they both were just letting it go. They didn't seem to be putting any effort into working things out. Maybe counseling would work.

I agree. She is in the wrong. She should have quit the show and save her marriage. I feel bad for the kids. When they get older and watch their show they will now have to deal with seeing their parents marriage fall apart. Just a very sad story. I hope TLC pulls the pugs. Or no one watches it. This is going to probably do some damage to the kids.

Counseling would probably tell them to quit the show and save your marriage. And I am pretty sure Kate will not do that. So I think counseling will not work. You have to want to change for counseling to work.

I think the kids are already damaged no matter what. I mean, even if their parents were still all lovey dovey and everything is great blah blah. it's still effed up. The kids and parents are essentially the real life version of the Truman Show. It's going to be highly interesting to see how these people react when all the cameras are gone and they're left alone in the world.

True, but I think if the parents were happy together. It would make it easier on the kids. When they watch this as adults they will see first hand how their parents marriage got destroyed. It will make from some interesting things. Especailly like what side to chose when you are older. I mean like who was the one that is really to blame. Dad or Mom it takes two, but there is usually one side that is to blame more than then other. For me it was my mom. My dad has some say in it too. But she ask for the divorces. Now she said that was biggest mistake she made. I agree, but what can you do. You just try to do the best you can. That is what I tell her now.

Well the seperation seemed inevitable but yet I was really pulling for them in the end, more for the kids obviously. There must be a lot of behind the scenes stuff we just arent privy to as it seemed like they hadnt done anything to even attempt to save their marriage in the end. Jon made it sound like he basically got tired of Kate treating him like **** and finally stood up for himself, but what I dont quite understand is why he didnt lay something out there and give her the chance to change before bolting? If he gives her the rope and she hangs herself with it then he did what he could but if he doesnt even give her a chance to change then he comes out of it looking like he didnt want to even attempt to make things work and he doesnt look too good in that light.

I said the same thing to my wife. She said it seems like Jon is going through a mid-life crisis of sorts...I agree with her.

Re: Any Jon & Kate watchers out there?

My guess is that he had probably talked to her before about it, albeit maybe not the way I would have. She needed someone to cut her down to size, and put her in check. But she probably wasn't trying to hear him, cause she felt like "Ain't nobody else gonna be checking for him. I'm all he's got". Then lo and behold, some females ARE checking for him, and on top of that, they treat him good, at least better than you do. So now all of a sudden, she wants to change the game up (according to what she said last night, when she said that he wouldn't communicate with her) because she sees that he's gotten this new swagger about himself.

I don't blame him one bit if that's the case. I've been talking to you about this, and just now you wanna change? Doesn't sound sincere to me. I wouldn't be surprised if the only reason she had been willing to change was so that they could keep doing the show.

Yeah, he's basically melting down, from the Nismo to just about everything. Funny him saying he's "excited" for the divorce. LOL

How long till he's completely out of the kids lives? It seems like he just wants to move on. I was trying to figure out when the houses episode was filmed to the interview section. Since he had no earrings where they were doing the houses, but did in the interviews.

I checked out those Crooked Houses as well, as I thought they would be cool for my son. Yeah, no thanks, $2500-$3000 each for the ones they got. AND, that's unpainted and unassembled. Normally they send the stuff to you, and you paint and put them together yourself. So what are we talking, antother 1K per house, each? Yeah, my son can do without. LOL

Yeah I figured those houses were expensive. I'm sure they got the houses for free or TLC paid for them. The advertisement "Crooked Houses" got for being on the show is priceless...especially that episode which so many people watched.

What's kind of ironic to me, didn't they renew their wedding vowels in Hawaii this past season? I assume that was last year? I assume they saw the road they were heading down and were trying to fix it, but it was possibly too late.

My wife said the same thing about them renewing their vows. Knew they were in trouble, figured it may have repaired a little or something. Kate said over and over again that this is a long time coming. I read many reports that Jon never wanted to have any more kids after the twins, and who knows, maybe that's where it all went downhill, 5 years ago.

How depressing in a way though, they have no friends (well, Kate doesn't). Their families hate them, they have paparazzi following them and the kids everywhere, etc. Those kids will probably never have normal lives, even 20 years from now when one is busted for picking up a hooker, they will be known as one of the Jon and Kate 8.

Keep in my he is younger than her, so that could have something to do with it. Also, she is like his mommy. That gets pretty old real fast after awhile. He probably feels like his own man now.
