Wow I totally have to check out MI5. Wonder when it'll be available on redbox.

Saw American Ultra last night. It got kind of beat up by critics, including my wife who said she didn't like it multiple times throughout the movie. Kept my attention and I wanted to know exactly how it would end. Good mix of serious with obvious light, comedic moments. Eric Foreman (yeah I don't know his actual name... That's a lie it's Topher Grace I believe) was good as a weasely villain. I happen to be an Eisenberg fan and his chemistry with Kristen Stewart is real.

    Spoiler

Was this based on a graphic novel or comic book? The ending credits and Eisenberg's sketches throughout made me think so.
    NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
    NFL - Buffalo Bills
    MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Just saw American Ultra too and agree with your review. I liked it and enjoyed the chemistry between Eisenberg and Stewart.

I thought it was fun, nothing you take serious. It actually wanted me to look up Manchurian Candidate by Denzel again.

        Avengers 2: Age of Ultron

I wasn't nearly as enamored with the 2nd film as I was the first. The best scene in the film, in my opinion, was the fight between Hulk and Iron Man rather than against the villain. I think James Spader was an excellent catch but his talent was wasted with this robot.

IDK...the romance between Widow and Hulk, the added characters which just seemed like fluff...I was honestly a bit disappointed. I don't like when bad guys realize the wrong in their ways and turn to the good side so the plot kinda soured on me at that point. I get it's Quicksilver and all but still, I didn't care for it. I wish Whedon would stick to the comic rather than go his on way.

It surprises me there was barely anything of Fury given I thought he was (is?) the head of the SHIELD and put together the Avengers. I certainly enjoyed it (7.5/10) but it's not a movie I would plan my evening around to watch again.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I don't want Fury to be much of the attention in the Avengers movies. He got plenty in A1 and CA2 and has made plenty of cameos throughout.

                  The 33

This was about the 33 Chile minors that were trapped for 60 days in 2010. I remember watching this and remembering they had no chance to get out but was amazed that everyone survived.

The movie, not so amazing. One big mistake I thought was putting the movie in English. It threw me off big time as they could have taken an advantage to show what Chilen culture is like rather than Americanize it. Also they casted the warden from Shawshank Redemption as the President of Chile. WTF??? It was stupid seeing him try a hispanic accent.

And they also casted Gabriel Bryne from The Usual Suspects as the main engineer who figured out how to get them out. Come on, you couldn't find two hispanic actors to play those parts?

Those things threw it off for me to enjoy it. Banderas did well but that's about it. They could have had something special because it such a great story. Its not horrible though and if you can get passed those things then you can probably enjoy it.

Seems like another movie I should have seen all ready, right ? Well I finally took a few hours to watch it while stuck on duty tonight. I don't break down movies the same way some do on OS and I definitely enjoyed it.

99 Homes. Not bad...unique concept, but the ending left something to be desired. Not enough closure (oooohhh...bad pun, sorry).

I thought the conclusion was an abomination. Was a cool movie right up until the third act where everything went off the rails for me.

Went to see the Peanuts Movie with my little cousins this weekend. I gotta admit I enjoyed it quite a bit. Some really nice references/flashbacks to the classic Charlie Brown movies are mixed in and it's just an adorable and funny-in-a-cute-way kinda movie.

Got to see trailers for a couple other animated movies that look like they could be funny too: Angry Birds (starring Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, and Peter Dinklage) and The Secret Life of Pets (starring Louis CK and Kevin Hart among others).

Also finally got around to seeing St. Vincent this weekend and really enjoyed it. Bill Murray's prime was a little before my time, but the guy is still hilarious and it was just a really nice story.

Maybe...but it could also blow the mystique that is C & H. We all interpret what we read and see in the strips, but when something comes to animation and moving production, it puts a construct on the creation. It's sort of like what music videos did to music, especially in the beginning.

St. Vincent was awesome. I really dislike Murray's more "avant garde" period in acting, but he seems back to form (and age appropriate). Need to see Rock the Kasbah, but it got annhilated on RT and IMDB.
