Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
SpoilerHow would it be cheaper? They have free labor that they don't have to train. They only sent those guys because the signal jammers were destroyedOriginally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Star Trek: Original Motion Picture - it is essentially a two hour long episode, so I liked it. I thought VGER was interesting and it was kind of trippy.

SpoilerThey don't have free labor. Your forgetting they have to create and build all those clones, how much would that cost? Billions. And they dind't send the guy because the signal jammers were destroyed, the signals weren't destroyed til the very end.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
SpoilerI'm not forgetting anything, they have the technology in place already and don't have to pay the clones. If they kept sending people up there it would take a lot more time and money. You were right about the rescue team, I got the timeline with the signals messed up but they only have to send those guys once every three years to make sure everything is in place. The method they had was much more efficient and cheaper than having to keep training and transporting people.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Just popped in United 93 for the first time in a little under a year maybe. I swear, I ball my eyes out every time I see it. If that isn't one of the best film dramatizations ever made, please point me to one that is.

I think it is much more costly to create and program a hundred clones then it is to send a human up there every 3 years. They rescue team they sent were already up there. They were on a different base. So if they already have other humans up there then it wouldn't be that much more difficult to send 1 more guy every 3 years. Both are costly but sending a human in my opinion is less costly. Clones are more efficient yes because they don't need to be trained.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
I just watched Burn After Reading, and it was pretty damn good.
It had one of the biggest WTF moments in movie history for me:
Spoiler
When Brad Pitt was hiding from Clooney in the closet, and Clooney got frightened and shot him in the forehead. That caught me completely off-guard.

Watched Zombieland for a second time tonight. God that movie is fun. I can't get enough of it. There needs to be another one.

Teenage Dirtbag. what an amazing movie. It's basically a chick flick but for a man, but not corny in the least bit.
Watch it. Its simply a breathtaking indie movie.Comment

Transformers 2: I get enjoyment from Mech anime so this was pretty good...besides the damn ghettobots and Devastator's sack. Soundwave being a satellite shooting Ravage down to earth was pretty badass. Entertaining enough movie.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan - If the first movie was basically an extended episode, The Wrath of Khan is worthy of actually being a film. Its so epic and badass - total Star Trek. Plus, I think The Wrath of Khan really nails the characters. The Motion Picture didn't really spotlight any one character or their traits a whole lot. On a related note, the crew seems to be "very close."
Cool Hand Luke - I love this movie, I love it. Paul Newman has to be one of the coolest actors in history. He doesn't have to say anything at all, but you're just drawn to him. That smarmy smirk just screams arrogance, but he is so badass that he's cool. The movie itself is a treat - without Paul Newman it doesn't work and his character is by far the most engaging and interesting, but Newman's performance is so amazing that none of the characters really matter.
