I bought Ghost in the Shell a couple years ago but I still haven't watched it.

Just watch Paranormal Activity and it disturbed me alot.

I don't know how to put in the spoiler tags, if someone could tell me would be great, but anyway.

I know we can't talk religion on this forum, in case someone gets upset, with defferant religions and stuff, I understand that rule, so I want go their but I must say. The reason I was disturbed, as a minister, neither of them two folks did the only thing that could get rid of a demon. very upsetting where i sit and what I believe in.

Hope that dosen't break any rules, but I just had to get that little bit off my chest, still a bit upset over them two.

By the way, the movie or rather film, was interesting to catch it all on tape like that.

I have seen one non-trailer/commercial scene, a clip Letterman showed one night. It was when...the vampire begins to fight the, I assume, more powerful vampires. It was honestly one of the worst scenes I have ever seen in a movie. The slow-motion jumping/quick movements were done horribly. I literally laughed for about 5 minutes, and looked at my mom and said: "This is what you guys are obsessed with?"

I have never, and will never watch another second of that movie. Vampires that sparkle in the sunlight and don't feed on human flesh most of the time? What a joke.

            As for me:

Watched Terminator: Salvation and Defiance recently. Loved Terminator and thought Defiance was a damn good movie, though it was slower than I expected it to be.
Heres the thing, i was exactly the same way. When the first one came out, i laughed at anyone seeing it; I made fun of my male cousin when he told me he watched it and thought it was fine; i made fun of him for days.

Yet when I saw the first one myself, truth be told i didn't understand it's hype nor did i think it was a horrible movie. The concept was Romeo and Juliet with vampires and it was alright..nothing special.

But personally i'm a fan of Vampires and Werewolves (specially werewolves) and I like what Meyers has done with some of the their abilities. She's given the Vampires mind reading abilities, abilities to see the future etc. Yes some of the acting is cheesy and because it is a bunch of teenagers but the overall concept wasn't too bad. I watched the sequel with an open mind and enjoyed it.

And about the fight scene, it truly was pretty bad, but they at least attempted to put a bit more action in this one, it was certainly better than the first fight scene in the first one

The Blind Side-I Can't believe I waited this long to see this. Terrific movie I loved it. Going to be a release day buy for me.

The Blind Side is one of my favorite movies ever now.

I just watched Michael Jackson's 'This Is It'. Really entertaining but also really sad at the same time. The music video that came with it directed by Spike Lee was very moving as well.

                  Black Hawk Down

My dad and I caught a midnight showing last night (yeesh, first time I had command of the TV all day), and it was as riveting as everyone has claimed. After the half-hour mark, a minute didn't go by without a bullet being fired. Ridley Scott sure had a lot on his hands having to shoot a movie like this, which is probably harder because it doesn't necessarily "progress" in the same way that other movies do. Instead, this was essentially scene after scene of the same scene, which would be inexorably difficult to keep track of every character (there were quite a bit of main characters), and yet still keep us aware of what's going on.

The other thing that I appreciated is the "real time" approach he kind of took with this movie. The movie's lines were written where it felt like natural flowing dialogue, where it wasn't necessarily that every single line was important (say a passthrough command being repeated twice or three times by different people on screen), but it helped intangibly as it made you feel involved when there was no such time advancement. I really enjoyed that. Then every so often, they would advance the time, but only to go back to "real time" mode again.

I'm surprised that it took me this long to see this movie, but I'm glad I gave this one a blind-buy, especially at $10. The brutality in this movie was amazing. Here's where I have a great appreciation for a movie like BHD above a movie like Quantum of Solace. See, QoS was a $225 million movie, and BHD was a $250 million movie. The difference is where you can see how BHD was so expensive, but you can't quite say the same for QoS. With that being said (though off-topic), this is why choosing the right director is so important, and Forster definitely wasn't fit for a Bond movie. Ridley Scott, however, just went up another notch in my book.

Not to get off topic here with the Twilight tangent, but seeing how I had to sit through the first steaming pile of **** with my ex-gf over the summer I feel I owe it to myself and my fellow brothers to slam this series as much as humanly possible.

I'm not sure what kind of kool-aid juice these girls are drinking when they watch these movies, because I don't see what there is to like about any of it. Edward basically has super powers, drinks blood, and he ****ing glistens in the sun - he's not a vampire. He has no charm. He has no personality. I thought his character was boring as hell and got tired of the gothic, woh-is-me, pale-faced wimp 20 minutes into the movie. If you want a real vampire watch Bela Lugosi, Gary Oldman or True Blood.

The story is about as flat as Edward is. Calling it a basic Romeo & Juliet story would be a disservice to Shakespeare. I can understand why girls get all worked up for the story, with the outcast, bad boy who protects them but Edward's character just never lives up to what the story demands IMO and at the end all I could do was laugh.

Thank you and the rest for verbalizing this. I wondered what the big deal was with the first one. I had no desire to see the second one. One of my girl cousins tried hard for all of us to go see it after Thanksgiving dinner. Thank God the Broncos were playing that night so I got out of that.

BTW, I just came across this list, one of many I know, but a little
different. What do all think? http://insidemovies.moviefone.com/20...ovies-of-2009/

It really sounds like I need to see Up In the Air. And UP is way too high.

This was not a good year for action movies.

Adult norse battle geeks with a British twist. Some LOL moments and an entertaining story (that's been done before).

Trailer spoils many scenes. You'll know if you'll wanna continue watching it within about the first 15 mins.
