Yeah I've always liked him and now like him as an actor even more. He did great.

      Onibaba

It's an old black and white Japanese horror movie. The difference between this and other horror movies is this deals more in reality than in the metaphysical world. It is very brutal and a bit long before it gets to the supernatural stuff, but the all in all one of the better movies you'll see on netflix instant view. 5 stars.

      American Violet

I am not a fan of movies on political race relations, but this one is actually pretty decent. There were some elements that I did not like but I think that was more a matter of opinion. 4 stars.

I mostly hate people that think Dane Cook is even all that funny. Family Guy portrays Cook and his fans in about the correct light:

However, I do love him in Mr. Brooks.

I think Dane Cook is funny and that Family Guy skit was not funny.

I thought it was hilarious because that is all Dane Cook is but what's really funny is that the Family Guy audience and the Dane Cook audience is pretty much the same.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Drag Me To Hell .... let's just say I'm glad I didn't pay to see it. Campy.

Man Without A Face (again) --- great examination of prejudice. Great job by Gibson acting and directing.

Beyond a Reasonable Doubt, with Michael Douglas. This was a remake of a 1956 movie with the same title. I had given my uncle my Netflix Inglorious Basterds to watch so I guess he felt inclined to return the favor. Boy, did my uncle get the better end. This movie was so over-acted, over-dramatisized, clicheish, and predictable. It reminded me more of a NBC Sunday Night Movie, or a movie on Lifetime (not that I watch movies on Lifetime.)

Funny People I liked this movie. It allowed Adam Sandler to branch out a little but still stay within his comfort zone. Good supporting cast.

I watched it friday night I thought it was good. A lot of funny parts and Michael Cera delivers again with some great lines.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

There's something very admirable about David Fincher, and it's that he doesn't have a constrained "style" that he sticks to, unlike today's generation of director's such as Paul Greengrass and Tim Burton. Instead, he takes a story written out that most people wouldn't want to develop so strongly because an on-screen adaptation would almost be "unfilmable" in a way that it couldn't possibly be successful. Needless to say, this is the third movie that I have seen with Brad Pitt starring in his movie, and each time I've been fascinated how he tends to play a "dual-persona" kind of character... in this case, a man who ages with youth.

While everlasting and every scene perhaps not ultimately imperative to the ending "point", it was a ride all in itself and was kind of a requisite to see the progression of his de-aging process. The makeup and effects in this movie were just... yikes, they can't get much better honestly. I don't know how they did it, and I'll have to look into the Blu-ray special features to find out. Speaking of which, Blu-ray movies can't look much better than this. Everything was simply pristine about it.

I've been in New Orleans quite a few times in my life, and I really love the vibe the movie played off matching it. Though told in flashback form, the movie was very linear and clearly understood, though still mysterious in its own right, considering this kind of case is nonexistent as far as I'm concerned. I suppose as long as you can suspend disbelief, you can have fun with the movie. The first half-hour isn't much to write home about, but is just another part of the movie's progression nonetheless.

I get more and more impressed by Brad Pitt's acting roles every day.

I hadn't even heard of it until last night, but I watched a beautiful movie called Girlfight.

It's a Sundance film with a young Michelle Rodriguez wanting to become a boxer.

                              Really good film, IMO.

So people who hate on Dane Cook for being the unfunniest funny man ever should watch this non comedic performance from him why? This is supposed to make us take back our opinions on how unfunny he is? Makes about as much sense as anything you post.
