Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1

The Stepfather-LOVED it. I haven't watched the 1987 version of it, but I loved this movie. Dylan Walsh was great in it and his character was very creepy. I know this got horrible reviews from Rotten Tomatoes and pretty much everyone I know but I enjoyed the build-up to the end. My biggest complaint is why did the killer do this? What was his motivation? It doesn't really go into it.

The Crazies-Pretty entertaining movie and the Morgue scene was creepy as hell. I liked the small town atmosphere of the movie.

Watched "She's out of my League" last night with my wife. Suprisingly funny, some great scenes particularly with his family. Alice Eve imo, is smokin' hot.

I watched this Friday. I think it was funny also, his chubby friend was the funniest character and made the movie a lot more funnier. Wasn't original at all, the last 15 minutes had me rolling my eyes, but I enjoyed it.

I had trouble watching She's Out of My League. I believe I posted impressions after I first saw the pre-screening, but I felt it was a PG-13 movie (in terms of its comedy style) with F-bombs thrown into the mix. I felt this was also a bit raunchy without having them incorporating the dirtiness or that Judd Apatow feel in the comedy, and just comparatively it didn't hold up.

The next week I saw Hot Tub Time Machine and I said, "This is what She's Out of My League should have been." If they wanted to tailor more to the 13+ crowd, they should have dropped the F-bombs. That's just one man's opinion.

None of that made any sense whatsoever. Just sayin.

Well apparently I have a distorted mind. Here were my actual first impressions if it clears anything up:

Watched When in Rome on my Zune today before work. One of those typical romantic comedies, but Kristen Bell is the lead so i watched it. Entertaining enough, but not too funny and like most movies in the genre predictable.

up next for viewing, my AWESOME acquisition of the "fade to black" version of Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. I held off watching because i wanted this version of the film. I can't wait. Just got to find time to watch now.

                        Midnight Meat Train- 7.0

The movie was somewhat interesting. It had potential but it was sort of meh. Liked the way it ended and the revelation of the stuff at the end, would of rather a movie on that; but that would be like every other horror movies (The Descent)

Pandorum-I enjoyed this even though I'm not a big sci-fi fan. Reminded me of Dead Space the game and The Descent. Kinda confusing for me at times but a solid movie. And I will have nightmares of the kid aliens.

I watched it about 2 years ago or so. Midnight Meat Train sounds like a porno lol. I thought it was ok, wasn't expecting a lot but it kept me entertained.

I watched Bullitt last night. Frank Bullit is just a badass mofo, plain and simple. The chase scene and then the airport scene at the end are both wonderful and I was surprised at how little soundtrack was used (if any at all) during these sequences.

I thought the movie was fine as well. It started as a good horror movie and turned into a thriller. Good flick with some good ideas. My co-worker and I actually had a lengthy discussion on the idea of going "Pandorum."

The whole idea of losing everything or going insane due to circumstances was pretty interesting. Definitely a fine movie 8.0

Yeah that interested me as well and it was believable of people going insane due to the situation they were in. I might have to watch it again to get a better understanding of it.
