Just finished Streets of Blood. A very poor man's version of Training Day. Bad acting all around, but a decent flick. 50 Cent was decent.

The wife and I watched Four Christmases the other night. Turned it off after about half an hour. It seems no matter what movie Vince Vaughn is in, he plays the same character. Same tone of voice, mannerisms, facial expressions, etc.Comment

Reminds me alot of Tommy Lee Jones.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. I thought the movie was ok, and its exactly the same with Ben Stiller, all of his latest characters are all exactly the same. I miss his Zoolander characterComment

American Psycho - After reading the book, Bateman's actions are nearly as disturbing or violent, but Christian Bale's performance is superb and the whole 80s atmosphere is amazing.

Toy Story 3 - Finally saw this last night. It was awesome. Very good way to end the series. A lot of laughs. The Night and Day short was very clever - really enjoyed it.

Finally got around to seeing Pitch Black. Wasn't expecting that at all. Really liked it. Had Chronicles of Riddick on BD ready to watch tonight, but it got deposited right back in the mailbox as my daughter thought I had seen it already b/c she knew I watched Pitch Black.... DOH!Comment

Ferris Bueller's Day Off: Such a classic. Everything in it is just fantastic. Every second of it is entertaining. There isn't a misstep anywhere in this movie. Broderick's great, Mia Sara is ridiculously hot (which is almost her only purpose), and Ruck is freaking fantastic.
Just an awesome movie all the way around.

Float. What a great movie. It's a low budget indie movie, but it's better than any Hollywood movie I've seen in the past couple years. An older dude runs a ice cream shop, it takes over his life, and then the movie is about the subsequent stuff that happens because of this. Just a movie that just feels right, without the artificial Hollywood garbage out there today.
go watch it.Comment

Command Performance. Good old fashioned rock 'em, sock 'em action flick starring Dolph Lundgren. Basic plot but plenty of carnage. Decent blu ray transfer--nothing to write home about.Comment
