Watched Django one and a half times yesterday. Movie is awesome. End doesn't drag for me at all - I would've been pissed if it had ended at that first fade to black moment.

Will be buying it on BR as soon as I head to a store for my next round of pick-ups.

I'm not saying the story wasn't worth watching or having the rest of the way through, but it got slightly exhausting (which can mean a good thing, btw)... or rather anticlimatic like it wanted to build in a new segment. It's like most people's problems with The Dark Knight; they built in maybe one too many tirades for The Joker at the end.

I could see why some people would think that. But for me, there wasn't a thing I didn't like about Django so I was definitely happy with how long it was.

Yep, that's exactly how I feel. I was worn out by that point. It didn't help that

I liked Foxx in the role, but up until the last 30 minutes it was really more about Waltz.

I liked him too. I just felt like Waltz was carrying the story, which is why I really didn't like the last bit.

It wasn't that it dragged it was that it ceased making sense, continued to not make sense and then became very cartoony/absurd in the bad way where it pretty much turned into a parody of itself.

In that case I just completely disagree with you. Nothing about the last half hour seemed any more cartoony than the rest of the movie, and it all made sense to me. What are you referring to? I'm interested to see.

Looking forward to seeing Django...but one of the charms of Tarentino's flicks is that he loves to remind you that you are watching a movie. It's like he's sitting next to you, elbowing your side and mirthfully pointing at the screen like 'isn't this a COOL flick?'.

Perfect example is seeing Hugo Stiglitz for the first time in Basterds. DUH DUUUH!!! That's broad, but you know what I mean.

It felt more like an epilogue to me than part of the movie. I felt like the movie itself ended at the first fade-out as the tone/atmosphere of the last part just felt different to me.

Watched Crazy, Stupid, Love today. I really enjoyed. Ryan Gosling does a great job in most movies he does, I think.

Funny thing about Carrell. I never really enjoyed him too much on The Office (especially in the later seasons), but I tend to enjoy his films, especially the ones that are a lot more down to earth and dramatic, like this one or Dan in Real Life.

I haven't seen Django since I watched it in theaters. I remember walking out thinking it was the best movie I'd seen in theaters in a long while. Great flick, can't wait to actually watch it for a second time.

I know and there's plenty of that in the good way in the first 2 hours.

                            This for example:

                            <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TLwjCvxp8AQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

                            or Mr. Stonecipher.

The last 30 minutes is in a bad way after the 12 minutes it stops making sense.

I think I can understand what you're saying about the end unraveling a bit, but I don't necessarily see it that way because, and I'm trying to recollect a film I haven't seen since the first time several months ago, but

                                - Best film I've seen all year. Loved Blue Valentine and the structre of this was just awesome. (Bradley Cooper doesn't even show up until like an hour in). I was a huge fan of Blue Valentine and recommend seeing this as well.
