Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Blair Witch Project - I thought this movie was terrible, however I can see why it got a big reaction when it released (due to it being the first of it's kind, really). But, having seen the same type of movie done a hundred times since, with a lot of them being better, this was an incredible let down. Wish I had watched this earlier. And that ending...
Don Jon - So glad I waited to see this one, because if I had seen it in theaters I would've been disappointed. Waiting this long and tempering my expectations (saw a lot of negatives about it) made me enjoy it quite a bit. JGL was awesome, a few parts had me laughing, and it was a solid story, nothing great or groundbreaking, but solid.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I'm not much of a DC comics guy, but I loved Nolan's Batman trilogy.
I thought JGL did a lot with a little in Dark Knight Rises, and I'm a fan of his going back to 10 Things I Hate About You. I don't even know the character of Nightwing well at all, but I would love to see Nolan direct JGL in a Nightwing film.GO 'HAWKS!

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Wow, the WAY back. I mean, I saw him in passing on 3rd Rock, but I never watched that on the regular. He has really grown up, and his role choices have been very good. Dude can act...and he's not a bad filmmaker either.
Speaking of baseball movies with kids, did you guys like Rookie of the Year? It had Gary Busey as the aging pitcher who mentored a 12 yr old that could sling a 100 mph fastball due to a freak injury. Funny stuff, charming as hell.GO 'HAWKS!

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I liked Rookie of the Year slightly more than Little Big League. They're both good movies but I liked ROY more because of the straight up fantasy of a kid suddenly pitching in the big leagues and being a phenom. I also think the humor was slightly better but both films are great in their own way.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
The nerd in me liked Little Big League better because I always dreamed of managing, running the front office, or owning a baseball team more than playing. Don't get me wrong, I loved playing, but being a major leaguer wasn't as big a dream for me.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Both Little Big League was better than Rooke of The Year which I thought was horrible. The Sandlot was very good though.Comment

300:Rise of a Empire. Very solid sequel. I saw it in 2D. Could definitely tell it was shot with 3D in mind. Plenty of action with good use of the "slo-mo" effect ala Dredd.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
The Muppets (2011): A wonderful reintroduction for these characters. Hilarious, touching, the perfect tone and wonderful performances by the humans. This is an absolute joy to watch. The musical numbers were fantastic and the opening musical sequence set the tone. One of my favorite Muppets movies and an incredibly happy and nostalgic trip. I was smiling the entire time watching this film.Comment
