Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I saw Ghostbusters for the first time last night, and I have to say, I usually really like cult movies from the 80s. But I really didn't love it. I just don't think it held up very well. It may be that I'm not from that generation, but I don't know, I was super meh about it.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Ghostbusters gets better to me each time I watch it as the subtlety of the performances becomes funnier. I think 2 is initially better, but doesn't offer as much depth.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I genuinely think Bill Murray is the best comedic actor in history and I love the Venkman character. So that helps.
I generally rate Ghostbusters among my 5 to 10 favorites, personally.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

I always thought 2 got a worse rap than it deserved. People acted like it was Caddyshack 2 (shudders) bad and it wasn't even close to that. I always believed it was a solid sequel. I still rank the original higher, but don't have any major issues with 2.Currently Playing:

Maze Runner
I thought it was ok. It was actually pretty good till the ending with a big plothole in the end. The acting was pretty vanilla but was happy to see a Filipino American get a big role in the movie. Anyway, its worth renting or netflixing.Comment

Sucks they never got make the 3rd movie, but in some ways, that makes 1-2 even more enjoyable for me to watch now, as I really appreciate the films and the performances.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World
Instantly one of my favorite movies. I was entertained from beginning to end. The visual style was amazing and the nods to the video game were really cool. Surprisingly good cast from top to bottom as well, especially on the female side.
Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist
Not a bad movie, it just didn't grab my attention like Scott Pilgrim did. It has its moments and it has heart but I didn't really give a **** about the rest of the characters or what was going on. It was a little different seeing Michael Cera not playing the typical awkward role he does.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. The comic would be a good investment of your time. Definitely one of my favorite comics to go through every so often.

The To-Do List
Don't bother. Really. Don't.
Even with a pretty decent cast and the potential of a funny premise, it just isn't. I considered turning it off a good 5-10 minutes in but because I tend to be an overly patient person, I sat through the whole thing.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. The Raid 2.
Saw it again with my dad. Still love it but not better than the first because of pacing but the action is just as good if not a little better.

A Walk Among The Tombstones
It was pretty good. Kind of a heavy movie. Neesen is good in it, though. Nothing special, but I liked it.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey
