Kimmel just wrecked Jay on his own show, hahahaha.

Second video on the page. I really do think one of these days Leno is finally gonna have taken enough and rip the hell out of all of these guys. I'm waitin for it, and hope it happens.

He didn't attack until Leno refused his offer to do 12 at 12. Then he just decided to wreck him. I like the fact that Leno didn't respond to any of it though. That's what Kimmel wanted, so he just took the beatdown and got it over with.

Leno doesnt have the comedic skills or ammo to wreck those guys.

Yessssssssss he does. Leno has the sharpest tongue out of all of em. He doesn't tear into people too often, because he already has a **** rep due to the Letterman thing. But the guy is a beast at improv.

Conan just gave like 20 porn titles describing this situation. Each more hilarious than the last.

Clearly he no longer gives a damn about keeping it appropriate for 11:30. I wouldn't be shocked if the Masturbating Bear makes his dramatic return soon.

Except jay wasn't ready, not at all.

He's not the only one... Jay Leno is getting his rep bashed in ten ways from Tuesday for something he has NO control over.
Nobody forced his hand. He could have told NBC 5 yrs ago he wasnt willing to commit to retiring but he did. Thats the bottomline. Nobody forced him to announce he was retiring and what I mean by retiring is retire from talk shows. The 10pm show only became an option because he forced NBC's hand by threatening to go to ABC. NBC was willing to work with Jay on other projects but he wanted a talk show and they had no choice but to do the 10pm show.

Also this is now the 2nd time he's been involved in a controversy like this. There comes a point where he has to take some of the blame. Sure NBC should get the lions share but he's played a role in both situations.

Ive seen Leno's pre Tonight Show stuff and I wouldnt describe him as a beast at improv. He was a decent comic who had a little bit of an edge before he took over for Carson. He has never been the type of comedian to go in on someone and he cant learn it now. Just look at his pathetic attempts to dis Conan tonight.

Re: Conan's Reign Begins - The Tonight Show

He is to blame for the Letterman saga, no doubt about it. But this one falls squarely on NBC.

And Friday is Conan's last show apparently... So he has one more show in him. I hope he goes out in a blaze of glory!

--Leno wasn't trying to rip Conan tonight. He made a simple remark about ratings. Woopdi. He is trying to not bash anyone other than NBC. You could see on his face that he wanted to destroy Kimmel but wouldn't allow himself to.

Leno set a date to retire, how is it not on him at all?

NBC set a date for leno to retire for christ sake. Conan was gonna bolt to Fox, so NBC said we'll give you the tonight show in 5 years. Leno NEVER wanted to retire.

When did he ever say he didnt want to retire? I heard he was fine with it up until 2009. Around January he started hinting around that he wanted to keep doing a talk show.

Its not like NBC put a gun to Leno's head. He chose to roll with that deal plain and simple. Leno and NBC should have fingers pointing at them because its on both of them. NBC's execs are showing they're a bunch of money chasing morons and I find it ironic how 5 years ago they didn't want to let Conan go, but now they seem to have no problem screwing him over.

How/why did Jimmy get on Leno's show?
