One thing however I was a little miffed about was how quickly into the episode The MIB was killed off. There was at least another hour or so of the episode to go. It just felt to me that he went way to early in the show.

My only minor complaint from the finale is that I didn't feel it was very clear that he was absolutely dead. I was half expecting him to show back up at some point.

So if Hurley is the new Jacob then who is the new MIB? I thought the whole point of Jacob and MIB was the "balance" between good and evil..

There was no balance prior to them that we were shown. There was always a protector of the island, however.

i disagree and I think the show clearly presents that the island existed and everything that happened on the island really happened. To turn your back on the explanation given by Christian at the end of the finale is like saying your watched Shawshank Redemption and no matter what the movie tells you, you believe Andy Dufrane was guilty . Make up your own ending if you want, but it seems pointless to ignore the intended story.

I thought the stuff on the island never happened and everyone died in the plane crash. At the end remember they showed the beach with bodies on it, just like the way the show opened with the plane crash on the beach only in that everyone was running around. I thought it was pretty plain as day clear they all died in that plane crash because otherwise why woudl they show the very last scene of the beach like that?

Those weren't dead bodies on the Island - and they didn't even show those pictures in the Canadian broadcast.

If they wanted to show them all dead on the Island, anyway (which they didn't) then they surely wouldn't have done it during the credits. The show was over when "LOST" flashed on the screen.

When Sawyer is holding Juliet at the very beginning of the season as she is dying she says to him "we can go dutch" and he has no idea what she is talking about. Then, they meet up in the afterlife and kiss and he says he just used his dollar so he won't be able to buy two coffees and she says "we can go dutch" to him while crying/smiling.

i don't think there were dead bodies (I only saw plane wreckage) and I take the images of the wreckage on the beach as an indication that the island is real and everything that happened on the island really happened.

I found a clip on YouTube someone videotaping their tv. LOL!

It's the last scene and the ending credits with the plane wreckage. I don't notice any bodies on the beach.

I never saw dead bodies just wreckage. You could actually see the shelters and shade that the Losties built, so that shot was just a final parting shot of the beach as the series wraps. At least IMO.

This is why I need impressions and you guys.

I definitely did not get all of what Christian said when I watched the finale. I was trying to figure out what he meant by dead and I thought he was being figurative, not literal.

But after you guys and a few articles explained it better, I get it.

I still don't see the real benefit to the whole sideways thing, but at least I understand it now.
