Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
I've got a theory on all of the bodysnatching. Let's say Jacob can leave the island, but MIB/smokey cannot. maybe Jacob's power is that he can take over a body, like Sayid. The MIB on the other hand cannot take a body, but can take on its form, like Locke.
Based on this I'd say that Christian could actually have been Jacob. On the island, Christian's body was missing. If it was the MIB I would have expected us to have seen his body like we did with Locke. This would explain Jack seeing his father in the flash forwards. Jacob was using this to guide Jack back to the island.
Way back a few seasons we saw what appeared to be Christian in the cabin. This was stated to be Jacob by Ben, but was it really? There was a circle of dust around it, and Jacob was supposedly in the statue. Maybe at that time the MIB had taken the form of Christian. I can't recall when the circle was broken around there. That may help tie together the whole cabin scene a bit tighter.Comment

I think Locke on the island will be "resurrected." MAybe the teaser posters have me thinking this way, but I think somehow the dead Locke on the island will come back to life.I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me!

The original cabin scene is really intriguing to me.
Didn't 'Jacob' ask Locke for help? Why did he need help? Why couldn't Ben see him then, but could see him in the foot?
And I thought Jacob hated technology? And yet, he's off the island in cabs, on the street, etc.
Was that really Jacob in the chair? Or was that how Jacob wanted Locke to see him?
I have to watch that scene again because the man in the chair seemed to be very disheveled. Not like we've seen Jacob so far.Comment

Christian was in the chair the first time the cabin was introduced. If there was a circle around the cabin - Christian couldnt of been the man in black because smokey couldnt enter the cabin. Plus we aleady saw smokey all over the Island."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

Looking over these pics:
That definitely does not look like the Jacob we've seen lately.
Who is it? Is it Christian?Attached FilesComment

What was the deal with the circle around the cabin? I forget....because was it broken or not?

Was the dust put there to trap the MIB? But like you said, that doesn't make sense. Because we had seen the smoke monster and Christian several times before that.
I hope that secret is revealed by seasons end.
Because to me, it sounds like that was the MIB in there and he was asking for John's help.
Or what about when Hurley peered into the window of the cabin:
This spooky scene, taken from Season 4, Episode 1, "The Beginning Of The End", occurs right after Hurley discovers Christian Shephard, (whom we all know, and assume to be dead), rocking in a chair inside Jacob's Cabin. Hurley's view is then suddenly blocked by this man! Is it the mysterious Jacob himself? Compare this animation with the one above it. Is it the very same haunting eye?
This is why I'm wondering if the smoke monster and the MIB are separate entities.
Who else was in that cabin with Christian?
Another thing that bothers me is the fact that the Others followed Jacob religiously. And yet they murdered as well.
I just don't see Jacob as the type to request murder from his people? Or were the Others acting out on their own?
Or have the Others secretly been taking orders from the MIB? Perhaps that's why 'Locke' told them he was very disappointed with them. That they didn't do what he really wanted them to do?Last edited by Money99; 02-03-2010, 04:06 PM.Comment

Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
Sorry for hijacking people.
But this picture does not look like Christian.
Christian had short hair while this mans go to his shoulders.
He's also dressed very drab. Christian is always well tailored.
Is there a 3rd entity in all of this?Attached FilesComment

Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
I almost forgot about the Hurley scene where he is freaked out by someone/something. I don't think the cabin seal was broken during that time, but I really don't know what breaks the seal? From last night, it seems very powerful if it can stop the Smoke Monster.
I don't think the person in that chair is Christian, hope we find out though one way or another.
Great theories by everyone, love reading this thread.Comment

If Jacob isn't inhabiting Sayid's body, then whoever is might provide that answer."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

In that Hurley scene, did he happen to run through a/the circle of dirt near/around the cabin? I can't remember. If so that leads me to believe Jacob was never in the cabin it was smokey/esau/MIB.HELLO BROOKYLN.

It couldnt have been smokey. Smokey was running around the island at the beginning of the show."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment
