From how I'm understanding it this will be a Superman Batman movie but there will be a Man of Steel 2 likely in 16

I think it works out for a Batman reboot quite well, i'm just really curious as to the villain now. Lex still makes sense, but there has to be another unless of course there is another stand alone Superman movie then idk.

Either way i'll be going to see the new slate of DC movies regardless so it's just awesome that it's happening finally.

Slightly off topic, but just got done watching Superman Returns for the first time in a long time. It was better than I remember it. Kevin Spacey was a cold blooded Lex.

Apparently SR happened between Superman 2 and 3 to allow for...

The feedback on The Dark Knight Rises' Facebook page seems to be split pretty evenly between having Bale return as Batman and recasting the role.

What seems to be unanimous is that Snyder is a terrible director.

As much as I'd love it, I just don't see Bale returning. I feel like that different version of the Bat symbol compared to The Dark Knight trilogy's is further proof of that.

What I do find interesting though is that a lot of the major behind-the-scenes names that were involved with these past Batman movies are involved with this. Nolan, Emma Thomas, David Goyer, etc. It makes me wonder if a) JGL could still be a possibility (I doubt it) and b) if they're really going to stray that far from the "Nolan-verse" when they reboot Batman.

                      In 2015 we are getting
                      - Batman Vs Superman
                      - Avengers 2
                      - Star Wars Episode 7

Bale has already stated that he is done but I guess you can never say never especially with nolan involved.

Superman/Batman is going to be REALLY COOL, but I sincerely hope they don't actually mean that to be the sequel to Man of Steel. Don't use Superman to prop-up Batman in Superman's own movie, Batman doesn't need it. Plus, I want to see the fallout from Man of Steel and his growth as a superhero.

I think they are bringing Batman into the series to prop up Superman to be honest. They want that Batman money.

I just hope it isnt another Superman has gone rogue storyline. They should have just given Superman another film and made this one later.

If Superman gets his *** kicked by Batman in this Superman/Batman film when they haven't even introduced kryptonite in a stand-alone Superman movie, I'll be pissed.

I think we all know that Superman's going to get his butt kicked by Batman.
                                It's inevitable.
The Batman fanbase is so rabid that if they find out Bats get's a beatdown, they'll protest the movie.

I work with a Batman fan that is beyond nutty. His entire desk is littered with batman toys, models, trinkets, you name it.
Even his iPhone's jacket is in the mold of a batman.
Whenever anyone even jokes about how in 'real life', Superman would murder Batman in seconds if he really wanted to, he loses his mind. It's kind of funny actually.

But I have no interest in seeing that in a film. If it's a Superman film, then I want to see Superman. And I don't want to see him getting his butt whipped by a normal man, with karate gimics and a tool-belt to appease an obsessive fanbase.
But we know this is 100% going to happen.
