I enjoyed it alot.

Sure, there were some problems with it but that's every movie once you reflect on it.

The Lois on Zod's ship was odd but if they had just one line of dialogue with Zod saying "We saw you holding hands when we flew down...you like her don't you?" I would haven't have noticed the oddness of it. The stranger thing to me was young Clark playing superhero...who was he pretending to be?

On a personal note, Supes needed some manscapping. Not a fan of the chest hair peeking out of the neck area...but that's just nitpicking.

I thought that it was phenomenal. I won't argue against anyone who didn't care for it though. For me it encapsulated the things that I wanted to see in a Superman movie. I've been a fan of the character since before the first movie came out, so obviously I'm old enough to have seen the original Superman in the theater in '78, this, however, is my Superman movie.

I don't think that I will want to watch any of the other ones anymore. The portrayals of all the characters work so much better for me in this one. Clark/Supes/Lois/Zod/Faora/The Kents/The Els. all of them. Only Smallville's Kents and Lois measure up to me.

The will definitely be a polarizing film, but it works on every level for me.

Got back from watching the movie in 3D, I still feel like it's the best summer movie out yet. Man, people are so nit picky, first Returns was boring because it had no action, now Man of Steel is brain dead because it has too much action......what do people want?

Personally, I loved every moment of it, I was on the edge of my seat throughout most of the movie, not because of suspense but just pure glee and joy seeing the Man of Steel in action like that.

I will say though, I LOVED the opening with Krypton, never have we ever seen the planet like that before and it's people. Synder did an excellent job with making it something truly alien and out of this world.

I will admit that, they really did something different with the whole Lois thing, she knows who he is from the get go, and so do most of the people in Smallville which makes sense on a realistic scale.....he was doing amazing things since his childhood which makes it apparent to the people he grew up with.

I also feel like he became Superman very rapidly after discovering everything, would of liked a bit more of a build up and his appearance before Zod made himself known to the world

Action wise, it did not let me down, explosions, buildings being torn everywhere, if anyone saw the last episode of Justice League where Super goes all out against Darkseid, this movie felt like that, very DBZ-like.....Goku vs Vegeta lol.

Acting wise, I loved Shannon as Zod and Crowe as Jor El, everyone did an amazing job, Cavil feel a bit short, but I feel like that was due to the writing around him more so than his actual acting performance.

Grade: 94/100

It was the epitome of meh.

At times is dark and edgy, much like TDK Series, and I loved the actual plot line/Zod's plan. Zod was really well developed, I LOVED how they justified his actions instead of just saying "here's the bad guy here to destroy earth".

And then it had it's pure camp moments. The kiss, the end of the movie, Lois being cutoff before she could say "Superman". Nothing cringe worthy, but there were some eyeroll moments stuck in there.

My biggest complaint

IF ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS SNAP ZOD'S NECK THEN WHAT THE **** TOOK HIM SO LONG. He could have done that literally at least 10 times during the whole fight sequence.

Obviously Amy Adams was in an episode as well. Think the repair shop or whatever in his flashback was named Sullivan's but that may have just been a coincidence. Then obviously almost getting his *** kicked by the football team was similar to the beginning of the series. The road where one of the battles took place in town did kind of look like how the town did in the show too

- The biggest and most obvious, of course, is that Amy Adams plays Lois Lane. She appeared in the first season episode “Craving” as a girl who could lose weight with Kryptonite diet shakes that make her a bit violent and very, very hungry. Definitely an upgrade of a role for her, no?

- Not more than a minute after we hear the words “This is Dr. Emil Hamilton,” we see Dr. Emil Hamilton… no, not just Richard Schiff, who plays the role in the movie, but also Alessandro Juliani, who played Dr. Emil in several episodes of Smallville. For me, this was the most amusing connection. Why yes, yes it was Dr. Emil Hamilton!

- Characters like Pete Ross and Lana Lang are seen and/or referenced. Thanks to an IMDb listing (we warned you about those), it was thought for all this time that “Whitney Fordman” would be in the movie also, but no: the character in the film, according to the credits, is “Whitney Fordham.” At one point they even make reference to “the Fordham boy.”

- Mackenzie Gray plays Jax-Ur, but on Smallville, he played a Lex Luthor clone, in the Season 10 premiere “Lazarus.”

- There is no Chloe Sullivan in the Man Of Steel world, but Smallville has a “Sullivan’s Truck And Tractor Repair” in the movie.

- Blink and you’d probably miss Tahmoh Penikett, who played two different characters on Smallville. Way back in Season 3 he was living dead kid “Vince Davis” in “Resurrection,” and then he played super-soldier Wes Keenan in a recurring part in Season 6. Penikett has made a habit of appearing in DC adaptations, having also appeared in Human Target and Arrow.

- Ian Tracey played bad guy Lincoln Cole in the Season 5 Smallville episode “Mercy.” Here, he is “Ludlow.” (We don’t remember who Ludlow was, either.)

- “Lexcorp” logos are seen in more than one place in Metropolis.

- Smallville has an “Ezra’s Mail Depot.” A reference to Ezra Small?

- The first time we hear the name “Superman” in the movie, does the guy saying it look familiar? He should. He’s played by David Paetkau, who played an abused football player in Season 1′s “Hothead” and then came back years later to play Dan Turpin in “Bulletproof.

forget that in Christopher Reeve's Superman 2 he stripped ZOD of his powers and threw in a bottomless pit! (killed). And in Superman 4 he threw Nuclear Man
down into a nuclear reactor (killed) that lit up the whole city of metropolis.
So please, stop acting all shocked because Sups' snap ZOD neck. Man of Steel
