Do all newer tvs have an option to listen to the audio through headphones? Or is that strictly through a receiver?

If you really need under $50 then go with a 2.1 set of computer speakers. Logitech , Altec Lansing, Cybe Accoustics

You will likely need one of these RCA Y adaptors http://www.amazon.com/C2G-Cables-404...=operasport-20
        Hey GC

I picked up the logitech Z506 surround sound from micro center for $59.00 refurb. They sound great and didn't need adapter. So now the other TV has surround sound (46 in LED Samsung Smart TV)

        thanks for your input sir.

Anyone have any good recommendations for a new TV in the 60 inch range? Moving out and need to grab a big tv for the living area. Haven't bought a TV in years, but I don't need anything out of the 4k lineup, just looking for a good quality TV without breaking the bank. Smart tv is the only real Must have feature I would need.

          Looking at these:

          http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics...540064&sr=1-33

          http://www.amazon.com/Sharp-LC-60LE6...540032&sr=1-16

Also figure it would be better to wait to see what black friday holds...
          Go Yankees
          Go Rangers
          Go Giants

Splitting it with the fiance. We could probably go up to $1300ish, but the less we spend the better.

Glad to be of help. I have my 5.1 system in boxes, so I got a Logitech Z313 2.1 setup for now. It hides nicely in a tv stand and gets loud enough for movie watching.

Always good to get what you want and save some coin in the process.

ASB this TV should be an option. It's getting really good reviews

The E Series which is 1 level below is also a good option for a couple of bucks less

Just to let everyone know, Vizio P series is now available. They are full array 4k displays. They are priced pretty good and for full array, it's hard to beat. They aren't the highest quality full array I've ever seen, but not bad.

For your reading purposes. A comparison of both models.

The best Vizio TV we've tested is the Vizio Quantum Pro QLED. It's a good TV with decent HDR peak brightness and great SDR peak brightness.
