My TV shopping is over, this is the one I want and will get.
The Dallas Cowboys will look great on that tv this fall!

Should I get the 55" or 65" C7P? Is their a difference in picture? I think a 65" may be too big for the space Ill be placing it, a 60" would be the perfect size but it seems like they dont make those anymore.

Go bigger, no one ever regrets going bigger with a TV.

I'm waiting for the really big sized OLED's to drop a bit in price. I'm interested in a 75-inch range TV, but the OLEDs that size (what few of them there are) are prohibitively expensive right now...

Decided to go with the 55" didn't want to pay 1K more for a 65". Have to wait almost two weeks for delivery
I figured it wouldn't be much cheaper during black Friday.

Our house selling/buying is progressing! Looking like we'll want another tv for the playroom, so that means getting a new nicer TV and passing down.

Just saw this TCL review, sounds halfway decent!
The TCL P series offers local dimming and high dynamic range for one of the best LCD pictures around. Add Roku smarts and a low price for a killer combination.

Our family room where the main tv will be isn't giant (like our current house, just one big room), so we'll be closer to the tv...Thinking a 55" might be ok, now, but after we move I'll know for sure.

Trying to figure out the best HDR option available without going crazy money wise. If that TCL at 600ish was solid that'd be great. Otherwise I probably see what's at Costco and start looking at prices. Seems like that TCL might be better than the Hisense that everyone was into.

Seems solid...I'd worry about the angle of viewing, but I'm guessing that most tv's would probalby be similar in my range, and it's not like it was bad (like 6.8 or something).

Do I need hdmi 2.0 cables? I dont have any 4K devices (wont have any until XOX). What is the best way too view 4K HDR without a 4K BluRay player? I want to show my wife and others what this baby can do.

No such thing as HDMI 2.0 cables, but if you're sending the signal over a considerable distance, spend a little more on HDMI cables. Otherwise, even ones like the Amazon Basics kind I have will do.

As for 4K HDR content, admittedly the pickings are slim. I'm enjoying Grand Tour in 4K HDR on Amazon Video. There's also a fair number of nature docs available on Netflix that show the quality of 4K. Not sure about HDR though.

You just don't want to use ancient HDMI cables is all. There is no such thing as 2.0 cables but the older cables I guess sometimes don't have the best bandwidth so if in doubt buy new, cheap cables like was said from Amazon.

Youtube surprisingly has a HUGE treasure trove of 4K stuff. Look for one titled "Happily Ever After - 4K raw video" which is a Disney fireworks video in 4K that was just posted.

My wife and I watched it on July 4th and HOLY CRAP...even my wife who doesn't have the best recognition of what is 4K versus non-4K was blown away.

YouTube 4K content is great. If your TV has the app just play it right off of there.
