https://www.samsung.com/us/televisio...n65ru8000fxza/
Q6 Q7 Q8 Q9 all have free sync if 55 and higher
What they might mean is first tv with new HDMI 2.1 for low frame rate compensation but Free Sycn is already on Samsung tv
I have one and use it for my XComment

No Samsungs except Q900 (via upgraded one connect box) will have HDMI 2.1

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I've been convinced to go for the 6 series TCL. $800 now seems like a good deal not likely to go down much if at all on a Black Friday sale. Looking at a 65". My son just bought the 75" after his 4 year old Sony died. Motherboard problem or something.
$800 is as far as I can stretch due to budget constraints and from what I read it is a decent TV. Any opinions on the 6 series TCl?Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Yeah...I love my 6-series. You get probably the best HDR you can at that price point (from what I read). It's not as amazing as the more expensive ones everyone recommends, but I'm personally cheap lol. I'd love to get a higher end one per Scott's recommendations, but just can't justify it.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Samsung RU8000 - $1100
Samsung N650 - $450 but $400 when bundled together or Samsung R650 $370 or $340 when bundled.
If you would have asked a month ago, there would have been a lot better options...PSN-Shugarooo

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Is it worth spending that much on the soundbar vs. paying more for the tv? I could believe it was, but more just a general question on value.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I treated myself to an LG C8 OLED. Best Buy bundled an SK10Y sound bar with it for a reasonable price. I love the sound on the TV. It has pop, enough to satisfy my needs. The sound bar is nice, but preferable for big budget movies.
Ask yourself, how loud do you normally play things? If you don't crank it up for movie night, I'd lean toward no.After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment
