I could either replace it with a 29" to 32" 4k/120, etc. once one is available, or grab the CX 48" and put it separate from my work setup but still with a pretty close viewing distance based on the room (probably 4').

The CX just clicks all of the boxes and based on the GL950 price ($800) I don't see the point in paying premium on a monitor when I'm not into PC gaming that would take advantage.

Any thoughts? Ideally, I wouldn't mind that CX 48 getting in the $1000 range on open box/Black Friday deals.
I have the Samsung Q90T and is amazing for gaming and I have the 65 LG CX which is also amazing for gaming. For PC I have my Samsung 27 inch g7 240hz 1440p monitor.

The CX48 incher for you is great for PS5. But you not getting it for 1000 at any point this year even open box

Yeah, I'm going to see the rtings review on the Visio M series and anything else that might come out, but I'm willing to spend a bit more the CX 48. It just hits everything, HDMI 2.1 is a requirement just to be somewhat future proof. 120 HZ probably is as well.

I could still get a 27-32" monitor and stick with my desk setup, but I just don't see that being feasible at a decent price point without PC gaming to take advantage of it (strictly PS5 gaming and low-end PC gaming). Basically, why spend $700 on a 27" monitor when I could spend $1200 on a OLED 48". Viewing distance at desk, roughly 2 to 3' depending on how I'm sitting. With the 48" and a separate setup, probably 3' to 5'.

Looking for some TV advice. We’re moving into a new house and need a new TV recommendation. Fairly large room so we’re looking for something greater than 70 inches. The room also has a decent amount of natural light from the side. This TV won’t be used for gaming. Mostly 4K movies, streaming and sports.

        Any recommendations? Thanks

Probably right, I'll just go for the CX48 once I know I can get a PS5. It just clicks every box, including being the optimal size for my viewing distance.

Once again, does anyone have experiences with or recommendations regarding HDMI switches?

I like that this one from Monoprice doesn't require external power, but the lack of a remote seems like it could be annoying. Meanwhile, this one from Amazon has a remote, but the company doesn't seem as trustworthy (the product page is littered with bad grammar and misspellings, for instance)

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread

Ok, so another which TV should I buy post. I have to get something 50" or smaller based on the size, viewing distance 3' to 5' probably so I actually prefer a small monitor/seating arrangement (right now I'm using a 32" 4k in a desk setup), but I want to upgrade for PS5. I would update the monitor, but considering I barely PC game (and don't have the hardware to take advantage) so better bang for the buck with a TV.

                  So........here's what I'm thinking:

LG CX48 - clicks every box, only downside is cost. I will probably go this route, but $1500 is a bit difficult to swallow for a TV I will only game on (maybe some Netflix, etc. here and there)

Which would be a better sacrifice (mostly sports gaming and racing, some Call of Duty/Rainbow Six too):

                  HDMI 2.1, but 60HZ panel - Vizio M Series 50" - $400
                  HDMI 2.1 and 120HZ panel, poor dimming, etc. - LG Nano 85 - $500
No HDMI 2.1 or 120HZ/VRR, but great ratings on HDR, etc. - TCL 5 Series - $400

or something else. Basically, I'm not going to go away from the CX to save $200, but to save $1000-$1200 for a smaller drop in performance, possibly.

                  Thoughts?

All of those aren’t gonna be a small drop in performance, it’ll be huge. I use a 48” LG CX for a monitor and it’s amazing. Don’t settle.

Yeah, I know, if the Q80T 49" wasn't 60HZ I would at least ponder it, but that drop in refresh plus only being roughly $400 cheaper isn't enough incentive.

Quick check - Sony X900f - open box for $400 10 miles from my house, pretty solid RTINGS review. Missing HDMI 2.1, but great HDR, input lag, etc. based on RTINGS.
