I originally wanted to get something with a big side window, but 4 included fans and the dust filters was too good to pass up. My only gripe is the manual could be a little more informative, but I'm really impressed with the case itself.

I'd probably go with that 600W Thermaltake for $29.99 instead of the 430W Corsair. Thermaltake makes a good power supply. You'll be pushing it on a 430W PSU. Heck, pending your Videocard and Processor, you'll be pushing the 600W in no time. I'd prefer a little headway.Twitter - WTF_OS

Yea I personally would not go under 700w. Once you start adding all the stuff that is going to be drawing power it adds up. I would not skimp here considering the cost.
Lastly, there is two areas I would not skimp on either. Quad core without a doubt and enough ram.
Video cards are extremely important but if you just wanted a computer that can get buy with decent settings you can snag several cards on the cheap that will do just that. Now the speed of how fast your cpu processes things & how much, extends much further than just playing games.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not talking breaking the bank. If you want a system that will run games on very high with top resolutions you can get by in the 600 range. You won't be as future proof compared to guys dropping 1000 but you will be able to make a good 600 system last for 5 or 6 years with plenty of enjoyment and good performance.Comment

Also, re: rebates, all of the reviews I've been reading pretty much say that the chances of getting it are slim to none.
EDIT: Almost forgot...are ATX power supplies compatible with Micro ATX motherboards?Last edited by BunnyHardaway; 03-19-2013, 06:01 PM.Comment

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread
Don't ever rely on rebates when deciding to buy something or not. Some times you will get it, some times you won't. Rebates never been a factor in whether or not I will buy some thing. Just buy your parts piece by piece, eventually you will get it done, even if it takes you 6 months or more.Comment

Or you will just completely forget like I did and never send it in -_-Comment

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread
or six months later you receive a check for 10 bucks in the mail, then another check 2 months later for 25 bucks. Happened to me several times and I always am confused as hell "who is sending me money for no reason?"Comment

Man, I remember hooking everything up, hitting power, seeing the fans and lights come on, and then getting nothing.
I thought I was screwed because I had bought piece by piece over a summer and surely I was past my return window. My dumb self forgot to plug in the CPU power cable.Comment

As a broke college student I made sure I sent my rebates in on my first build.

How exactly does one put RAM in wrong? It isn't possible to put in backwards. I don't think you are required to put it in certain slots to boot these days. Or did you just not lock it down completely?Comment

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread
My first build I just put the ram right next to each other. Had no choice because my heatsink was massive and covered the other to ram slots.Comment
