You didn't watch long enough.....as season 1 went on...the laugh track vanished. Was not there in Season 2.

Thought, that episode was better, with some "real" drama in the news room. One thing I hope they get away from is the "6 degrees of separation within that news room" Ep. 1 the assistant EP knew everyone who was everyone in Halliburton and BP, Ep 2, the assistant knows the Governors Chief of Staff or whatever? That can't continue can it?

It's an HBO show, so I know season 1 will be painfully slow in some facets of character development, but I hope it picks up.

I don't think that was really all that unusual. They're in the news industry, if they don't know someone they someone probably has a friend of a friend, etc.

They covered the BP Spill in 10 mins of the show which took 2-3 weeks of journalism.

I love how they basically did a flip of the previous episode where everything hit the ****ing fan (that seems to be this weekend's motto). It felt like I was watching a real newscast on cable it was so bad. Felt like he was ring leading a circus.

Episode 2 and it's more Sports Night. Hell He couldnt even get created with the title of the program, News Night 2.0.

Seriously, he should have just brought in Peter Krause and Felicity Huffman and done Newsroom with them.

Theme for the show so far, Men are great, woman are dumb.

I like how they've been mixing the comedy and drama tropes together and keeping it from being heavy handed with the news stories. Alison Pill <3

I worked in a newsroom up until last November. Trust me, it's exactly like that.

I just want to say I agree with Mack's idea of what a newscast should be. Way too much narrative news anymore.

112th Congress was an excellent episode. I loved it. The newscast was scary and that's all I'll say.

Is it just me or this budding romance The Office 2.0? The guy's name is even Jim, haha.

Oh, and they definitely put a Scott Pilgrim nod in there with Maggie's punching face line.

I enjoyed the episode as well, but it is gonna be hard to talk about that one here. Next weeks should be compelling too. At least we got the major conflict of the season laid out for us now.

It's already at Josh and Donna. Will and Mack are at Dan and Casey levels.

I might be done with the show, I spend most of the time figuring out which episode of west wing and sports night the episode is based on.

Newsroom might be nicely written, but that's probably because it's just copy and paste from his either nicely written shows
