That's cool. I respect your opinion. Disagree, but respect!

      Here's another one:

Rap's essential albums so far(Illmatic, Chronic, Death Certificate, Ready To Die, Low End Theory, Aquemini, Don't Sweat the Technique, Reasonable Doubt, Three Feet High and Rising, Raising Hell, and many others) can compete with albums from any other genre. They don't get the respect they deserve because: a) they're recent and b) many are too hardcore to be appreciated.

30 years from now, however, we may very well see A Nation of Millions on the same plateau as Highway 61 Revisited or Illmatic with Dark Side of the Moon.
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

I disagree with Rocky, and I'm going to keep it that simple.

Rolling Stones should have quit BEFORE "Start Me Up."
Velvet Revolver is probably one of the worst band ever, including Linkin Park.
I don't "get" hair bands from the 80s.
          Acoustic is better than electric.
Grunge did not really die, its just under the radar.
"Emo" is not a real genre because everything can be clumped into it.
Grunge is a broad genre, although most people do not realize it.
The greatest Live album ever is Frampton Comes Alive!

Grunge is dead. Even though you have member of bands from that era teaming up with members of other bands to creat new bands, but it's just not the same.

From my observation, the biggest fans of Pink Floyd today are by people who never experimented with drugs and the people that have, just see them as a bad memory.

system of a down kicks ***. They are one of the few "heavy metal" bands i like. They actually sing about things important and their lyrics and songs are insanely ingenious. They have aweosme guitarists and can go from slow to fast so seamlessly. My favorite songs are deer dance, aerials, and chop suey

Country music is a VERY under appreciated and often disrespected form of music. It is sad what the current cross-over crap has done to the memories of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and all of the other great country stars of yesterday.

I would also like to agree with above poster that System of a Down kicks ***.
Overall satisfaction also makes the decline!!!!!!!!!!!!

                              here is a few...

                              Eminem is a GREAT rapper...
Obie Trice's "Cheers" Album is an underrated album (others think he sucks)
                              Jay-Z is better than Nas
"I'm servin' dudes like Wimbeldon, advantage, 2uce..."
"They say, 'Marc'us, what do you know about rappin? You don't do drugs, and you don't squeeze hammers' Yeah, i don't fit that stereotype, but i'm bumpin in your stereo right!?"
"I'm not a College Dropout, I'm a College-Never went, honestly I never gave a ----, but still have an IQ equivalent to that of our 43rd President."

Glad to see System of a Down getting some respect on here. As an Armenian, I appreciate their music A LOT. Too bad their new CD isnt that great (Mesmerize, coming on the 17th, dont ask how I've heard it).....but it's okay. Hopefully the second part, Hypnotize (coming out later in the year), will be better. The song "Holy Mountain" which will be on Hypnotize, is one of the most unbelievably awesome songs I've ever heard in my life. So emotional, so driven, it's just great. It's written about Mount Ararat, which originally belonged to the Armenians, is now part of Turkey as a result of the Genocide.

My opinion in music that most would disagree with? The Beatles are overrated. I respect everything they've done, but to me, they're just not that great.
