If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -

80s = Worst. Decade. Ever.
I was watching VH1 "I love the 80s" the other day and they showed a music video for Motley Crue and I couldn't help but laugh and feel sad at the same time. How anybody took those bands serious is beyond me. Anybody who has the stomach enough to listen to that stuff is a hero in my book.

Big & Rich, not so much. I honestly haven't heard their new album, but while their debut was a little inconsistent at times, it was still quite solid. And the control they have over the city is just insane.
Kenny, totally hit or miss lately. When he wants to put out a serious song, he's golden. But when he is out there trying to be the next Jimmy Buffett he just falls flat on his face. He really should stick to what got him here: sincerity mixed in with an ironic single every once in a while.
That being said, there is still a wealth of talent on country radio these days. Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, the Warren Brothers (who can write a brilliant song for just about anyone), newer acts like Sugarland and Little Big Town, and, of course, the greatness that is Nickel Creek.Comment

What's wrong with Shania?
I actually like some of her stuff (more so her earlier stuff) I wouldn't even classify it as nu-country. Her sound for the most part is easy rock/pop music. It's just that she's listed in the country genre because of her sound when she first came into prominence.
People can switch genres rather easily. The best example is Mariah Carey, when she started she was definately classified as pop but she's now ensconced in the RnB/hip hop camp.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
