Re: Official 360 Problems
Mine just died last night. I have had it since 7/18, and have not even played it that much. This is really really disapointing. Best Buy better let me return it and get a new one.
Is there any way to protect this from happening again? I will be getting the extended warrenty for sure./bdComment

Re: Official 360 Problems
360 died last night. Purchased in April. Two red rings of light.. overheating.
Read somewhere on the internet to check the fans at the back of the 360. It may have even been this site. Well sure enough one of the fans isn't working.
Called MYXBOX and some valley girl told me to unplug it for like umm.. 4 hours and then like try it again you know... LOL. I told her a fan wasn't working but she said to like umm unplug it for 4 hours and try again... yeah ok. Well needless to say it overheated again so now they are sending me a ups box.
Oh... I have the 2 year MS warranty.Last edited by TDKing; 08-09-2006, 02:50 PM.Comment

Re: Official 360 Problems
These systems seem to be a real piece of garbage and I for one will stay clear. Microsoft should be ashamed of releasing a system with so much flaws. Why is this not looked into and Microsoft should have recalled these systems and released them when they are more reliable. When you buy a 360 you shouldn't have to worry if it will last. They said it is only a small percentage, yeah small percentage my ***. I have heard of people going through 4 or 5 systems which is really pathetic."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

My 360 has been acting up lately boys. It makes loud clicking noises while playing games, almost constantly, but especially when doing large loads. I thought it was just normal, but then I played a friend's 360 and heard almost no noises like the ones mine was making.
It freezes all the time, and I'm fortunate if I can get through more than one game in NCAA.
Unfortunately, I bought it in April, so the standard warranty is up. I didn't buy one from MS or the place I bought it.
So what's my next move?Comment

Did you register the system? If not it should be no problem buying an extended warranty and even if you didn't I would think you still might be able to buy it.DON'T PANICComment

Re: Official 360 Problems
And the story continues...
I've been trying to play NCAA for the past 15 minutes, but it freezes. Just about every time.
Then, a message showed up before the game even started saying "to play this disc you must put it in a 360 console." What the hell does that mean??Comment

You'll need a RFU Adapter I believe...you can find them pretty much at any Gamestop/Best Buy.Comment

Re: Official 360 Problems
My launch system just crapped out on me Monday. I got the 2 year agreement at BB though, so they gave me another one no questions asked. I'm just glad I don't have to re-purchase my downloads.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Better to just get a cheap RF modulator.
