Your opinion. But tolerate those who are excited for it. It's not against the TOS to be excited for the Playstation III (Although I wouldn't be shocked if it were true).

All I'm doing is asking you why are you excited for it...that's it.

People post these PS3 threads one after another, but no one ever has an answer for that.

There were plenty of videos of ingame footage for the 360. It was all over the net, and at E3. I had no idea which direction I was going until E3 of last year.

How are people screwed with 360's? Again, you don't own one. Games? Name me the PS2 games that came out after launch... Fantavision, Bouncer? Yeah, those were great titles and it went though a few months of only a few titles. Game launches are always like that, and always will be. The 360 titles start to come out again next month and they are then steady for the rest of the year. So I have no idea how I'm screwed with it.

Just like GR:AW was suppose to launch right? And Oblivion. They keep saying next month, next month, and that will be the case for the near future too. Keep thinking your not getting screwed though. IMO, you got screwed when you dished out $500 for the system at launch.

What are you hearing about the PS3 that excites you, I've asked it now a couple times and you keep saying it, but you never answer. Is it the hardware? The 360 is virtually identical, there won't be any difference in graphics, and if there is, it won't be as drastic as XBox to PS2 even (which wasn't that big of a gap either, but if you had an HDTV you could notice). Is it Blu Ray? If that's it, fine, I can understand that. But I want to know why you want it so bad.

It has always been Blu-Ray. I think it will be revolutionary, but that is my opinion as I have stated a million times before. You should go read some of my past posts from a couple months ago if you want to know how I feel about it so badly. I feel no need to open up about the PS3 like that again. It didn't go over well with a lot people. And isn't it always you who is always preaching about not starting system wars? Odd.

Nope, I'm not getting screwed. Ghost Recon was removed from launch lists 2 months before the system launched. I don't play RPG's, so Oblivion does nothing for me. So, how am I screwed? there are a ton of games on the system that I'm playing every night, but I must be screwed right? Thanks for making my mind up for me.

Let's say Microsoft comes out tomorrow and announces that the 360 was rushed to launch unfinished with many defective systems just to get you're hard earned money so they could have a head start on Sony because they fear the PS3........

I still think $550+ is absurd, but whatever.

First people say Sony is bullsh*ttin when they say PS3 will be more powerful than 360, then guys say PS3 will be $700+ because it's so powerful, then they say they will be basically equal performance wise.

I don't care if PS3's specs are better than 360's or not. I'm getting it for the games. MGS4, GTA4, GT4, Final Fantasy, and SOCOM. Those games are so damn addicting to me, I get chills just thinking about having all of em for PS3.

I believe there should be a PS3 sticky where we can just speculate. NONE of these articles people are posting have any new information, they are all just speculation. We're posting the same thing over and over and over again.

But you don't mind that there have been estimated 10 million PS2's go dead worldwide?

Amen brother, that's why I laugh when Sony claims we sold XXX Million PS2 units. I don't deny the numbers but come on how many were due to the fact that the unit died and you had to go buy another one. I'm on my 5th PS2, if it weren't for my Best Buy warranties i'd be in big trouble.

That's one of the stupidest opinions I have ever heard. Don't people remember the PS1&PS2 launches. Buggy Hardware, Launch Delays, I went thru 5 PS2's since it launched and 3 PSP's. Hell, I remember having to put my PS1 upside down so the laser would read disc's.

Its not a matter of fearing the PS3..... It's a matter of business savy, XBOX launched the 360 whats gonna be a full year before the PS3 AND the tech specs are going to be similar. Should they have waited and launched head to head with the current leader?

HD-DVD & Blue-Ray is for suckers, the future is faster broadband streaming media. NO PS3 Game will use half the space on a Blu-Ray disc, it would not be cost effective for developers.

I am buying a PS3 when it comes out, because of Metal Gear and more importantly I can afford it. The 360 bashing is far far overblown, Microsoft gets an "A" in my book. With the developers like EA getting an "F".

I'm not "bashing" anything, I'm simply discussing the 360's pros and cons. If that is bashing, then you'd be just as guilty in the PS3's case.

There are those of us who are looking forward to this system for our own reasons. You now know my main reason, I answered you the first time. And if I feel like discussing the PS3 reasonably like I have done, I don't have to make sure it's ok with you first.

The 360 isn't looking any better in terms of units malfunctioning just two months after launch. That's why I haven't bought one yet.

I'd bet out of the estimated over 600,000 that have been sold, the number that have been defective doesn't even registered as a blip on the radar. It just seems like it is because those that have had defective units have decided to post it on the internet.

I'm with EG, my 360 has been flawless from day 1 and I still would do it again. I'm on record as saying I will buy a PS3 at launch unless it exceeds $500. For me the system seller are racing games. I love Formula One (Sony Exclusive), GT5/Vision (Sony Exclusive) and MLB (Sony Exclusive).

I think where some of have a problem in understanding you is that you seem to give the impression that Sony is perfect, can do no wrong or you ignore that past history and Microsoft can do little right.

I agree with Microsoft that 3-5% of the systems have problems. At the extreme, they sold 1.5 million x 5% (75,000 defective units). That's on average with Sony . I remember when 3 weeks after I first got my launch PS2 machine would lockup and the screen turn white. My second one lasted about 5 weeks when I began hearing a noise when opening or closing the tray. That lasted another two weeks whn the tray would not open.

I remember having troubles with my PS1 as well. So Microsoft is not the only one who has had problems at launch. Based on my past experience with Sony I would be shocked if everyone of their PS3's were flawless at launch. My bet is it won't happen. Regardless I stil plan on buying one at launch.
