Honestly if it is $500 then i'd get a 360. Too much money to spend on it. My decision is made easier now that Smackdown Vs Raw is on the 360 also. Only game i'd be missing out on is MLB.

I didn't know Smackdown vs Raw was on the 360. Man thats good news.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

It doesn't really work like that.Originally posted by RodsterGreat news Flaw, so what's that in US dollars? I just found a conversion tool on the net. The price of 500 euros comes out to 612.899 USD. That's what I think it will sell for here around 600 bones.

I think we all know that Sony could put a PS3 logo on a box of Kleenex and the Japanese would pay $1000.00 US for it, but that won't fly in North America.
I think Sony just lost the market in North American and Europe. Heck, the Revolution might even kill Sony in Japan.Comment

That's taking it too far. If they sell it at $600, then we should expect the 360 to carry the industry here for this gen.Originally posted by Money99I think we all know that Sony could put a PS3 logo on a box of Kleenex and the Japanese would pay $1000.00 US for it, but that won't fly in North America.

Re: Playstation 3 Information, hardware, games discussion Part II
When SDvR was announced on the 360, it really helped in me deciding to kind of hold off on a PS3. I may buy one to sell on ebay, but if games that I enjoyed on the PS2 are making their way to the 360 why buy the system?Originally posted by cjonesfan921Honestly if it is $500 then i'd get a 360. I don't see the death of the PS3 or SONY, but I see MS and NINTENDO cutting into their market share in a big way if this thing is overpriced. Imagine when someone goes to the store to buy a new system...............Originally posted by Money99I think we all know that Sony could put a PS3 logo on a box of Kleenex and the Japanese would pay $1000.00 US for it, but that won't fly in North America.

360 = $299 or $399
REv = Rumor $150-$300
PS3 = Rumor $499-$699
I think people might be inclined to spend less and go the middle of the road price of the 360 and possibly pick up the Rev at say $200 if it retails at that low price. Last night there were some rumors rumbling that we may see it come out at $200 since it's running such low end specs, 700Mhz processor.Comment

The REV CPU clock speed is low and although it is the most popular measure of performance it can be misleading. CPU cashe memory and other features are very important too.Originally posted by MetropolisI don't see the death of the PS3 or SONY, but I see MS and NINTENDO cutting into their market share in a big way if this thing is overpriced. Re: Playstation 3 Information, hardware, games discussion Part II
The Revolution will be a non-factor. I will be getting it, but it's a non-factor, trust me on that.
The PS3 will win the next gen war, MS may cut into it's share a little bit, and I don't see 50 million PS3's sold like the PS2. But in the end, the PS3 will be the king again. Only way they don't is if the PS3 is over $500, and it'll be $499 max. I expect it to be $449 or $499.Comment

I don't think Nintendo will make a dent, but combined with 360 sales. Yes, I think the Rev and 360 sales combined will really cut into their market. I look at it this way for next gen, if you can only have 2 systems.....you either get
PS3 or 360 + Revolution......It almost feels like no point to me if some exclusives that were on the PS start turning up on the 360 and vice versa. Just my opinion. When SDVR2007 was announced for the 360, it only helps me be a bit patient on the PS3 unless there is going to be something killer.Comment

I'm not counting them out, but when you combine their sales with MS......SONY has a lot to be worried about this gen if they come out the gate with an expensive piece of hardware.Originally posted by FlawlessI'm telling you don't count Nintendo out.

Re: Playstation 3 Information, hardware, games discussion Part II
I see where EG is coming from and I do agree that Sony will come out on top unless they do something totally stupid like introduce the system at over $500 or make you buy a hard drive.
Where I disagree is that I do think MS will narrow the gap on Sony's marketshare even further. I also feel that MS is praying that Sony decides too release the system below $500. Sony would take a beating on each system sold and with HIGH demand and LOW supplies it will hurt them even more.Comment
