Re: Playstation 3 Information, hardware, games discussion Part II
With THAT few PS3s being available at launch, I'm not even going to bother trying. Not worth the extra time and expense, for a system with a weak launch lineup and poor support of sports games. I can wait on my Blu-Ray player, which, sadly, is the #1 reason why I'm interested in the PS3.
Will pick up a legacy XBOX instead, for NFL 2K5 online.Been gaming since the Atari 2600, and hells no I won't stop!!!Comment

Quote:
But far fewer machines will be available for the launch dates in Japan and the U.S. because of the production problem, Kutaragi said.
In the U.S., about 400,000 PlayStation 3 machines will be available when they go on sale Nov. 17. About 100,000 will be available on the Nov. 11 Japan launch date.
I can't remember, but how many 360's were shipped here in the US for launch?Comment

Ok, I couldn't remember.
With Sony having so few this Christmas, I see MS getting a bigger head start come this holiday. I think now there will be many that couldn't get the PS3 when launch comes and they will be itching for a next gen system only to go out and either buy the Wii or 360 instead.
If anything, Nintendo may end up coming in second in this race for this year until Sony ramps up production.Comment

Re: Playstation 3 Information, hardware, games discussion Part II
Just an honest question, why would you buy the 600 version at this point?
If Blu Ray movies can go through component and the $600 version isn't including an HDMI cable. Wi/Fi isn't something I'm sure most are worried about, the memory card slots aren't anything important, and the HDD is still 20 gigs.
What's the big benefit from the $600 version now?Comment

400,000 available in the US on launch day or roughly 8,000 per state. Prices on ebay are going to be ridiculousComment
