You can ethier go to jail and lose some of your stat points. Or pay your bounty off. Both of those options will make you lose anything you stole. Lastly, you can resist arrest and fight to the death. Beware though, even if you manage to slay every guard in the town you're in, they will hunt you down in every town you go to.

Anyone know if they confiscate all stolen items, or just the ones you got busted stealing. It would suck if they confiscated stuff you stole in another town, a week earlier.Comment

My guy was bitten by a vampire in some dungeon in the highlands... unfortunately he needs to be cured but I haven't a clue about how to do about doing this. A simple poison healing potion didn't work. Any ideas?Comment

You're screwed. No seriously, if you want you can be a vampire and only be able to go out at night and fufill your thirst for blood, you can do so. But I would check any local chapel if I were you. They may have a cure.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Impressions Thread
Well I bought the game yesterday and I played it last night for about an hour, the game very cool and entertaining. I wouldn't say it's the best game I ever played, not by far to me anyway. I haven't really got to far, maybe it will get better as I get as far as half of you have gotten. I created my guy, got out of the sewer and in the town or city watever we call, anyway, I just lost what to do from here, The Map is huge wich os very sweet to see, I just wanna know what do you guys do, do you follow the story or just run around the city and just do whatever, or are some of you playing the story part of it. I was attacked by two guys when I firts ran near a tent, Will I be attacked all the time by others? PLease fill me in.N.Y Mets

If you're still in the imperial city, a good place to get started is the the market section. Talk to some of the merchants and they might have something for you to do.
You'll get attacked a lot travelling on the open roads. Lots of bandits, etc. NPC's also don't like you very much if you talk to them with your weapon equipped. There should be a button to "sheath" your sword, etc.Comment

Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Impressions Thread
If you contract vampirism, and it's in the first 3 days, you can use a cure disease potion and cure it. If it's after, you have to see a priest and he can give you a quest to cure it.
My assassin now has head-to-toe black leather armor, light as a feather, and it does +8 to security, sneak, marksman, blade, athletics, all kinds of crap. Another +2 to everything from my hood, an enchanted dagger and I'm a Slayer in the Dark Brotherhood.
Running contract kills for a 300 year old Vampire Lord is pretty badass, although it's starting to suck having to kill every guard I see on my screen. My infamy is into the 30's nowComment
