Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion discussion Part II

Can you buy furnishings for your house? I bought a house in Imperial City and I was told to go buy furnishings. When I went to the trader store, I didn't see any furnishings. Also, how do you buy the big house in Skingrad? I talked to the right guy, but he said he doesn't know me well enough yet. Thanks!!!!!!

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion discussion Part II

A couple generic quest questions. I'm real early in the game, and have only done the Jauffrey "real" quest. I killed an Ogre one night and received some "jumbo potatoes". The game said hold on to them. Where is this quest and why should I keep them?

On that same level, I plundered some old fort, had my first brush with the vampire disease, and found two bottles of some night wine, and then received the message of "it's a special vintage...hold on to these". What gives?

Lastly, how often does the weather change? Does it rain in the overworld map? Will I see snow or leaves changing colors?

Where can I buy steel gauntlets and a helmet? I'm mostly all steel right now and want to complete the set.

Sorry for the disjointed questions. Hopefully someone can answer my queries.

                How have you been?

What kind of stuff can you do on your adventures? How is the 3rd person view?

                  Good man, you?

What kind of stuff? Hmmm, let's see. Today I did a mission for a guy, had to get rid of some bears for him, and then he paid me. Didn't like his "payment" so I gave him an arrow to his face. Now his house is my house. Then I went outside and slaughtered some sheep because I didn't like looking at them when I went outside in the morning. HAHA.

That's just an example of what you can do, it's all up to you. My character is a theif/assasin. I'm a pretty ruthless killer, that can sneak up and pick your pockets clean.

And let me add, I'm not into RPG's at all, but something made me go buy it Tuesday evening after work, and I did. Haven't quit playing it since.

3rd person view is there, but it's not that great. The game was meant to be viewed in 1st person so you can see all the detail and such. So I rarely go into 3rd person, only when I'm sneaking on some occassions.

When you kill someone you can take their house? I tried that once and I received a message saying I was tresspassing.

                      I've been good.

I was thinking of getting this game. I'm not into RPG's like I used to be, but this game looks like it allows you to do a lot.

That's cool, you can steal someone's house in the process. When you kill animals, can their fur be sold and the meat be used for food?

I'd say Oblivion is a MUST OWN for anyone with a 360, and if you don't have a 360 then you should go buy one and get this game.

And yes, you can do all of the above except use fur as food; since people don't eat furs.

My advice is to quit asking questions and go to the store and buy it right away.

I just got home with the game and plan on giving it a couple of hours run tonight after the tournament, and when the house is nice and quiet.

ANy tips for a brand new beginner.

All of the stories people tell about this game is too intriguing, and I've NEVER bought a RPG before. Im going to see what its all about myself

I should have rewritten that part about the furs, but can you eat the meat from the animals or even sell the meat?

I can't get to the store right now buddy, so I'll ask the questions. I spent close to $500 this month in videogames, so I need to make sure before purchasing another game.

Yeah, you can eat the meat, or trade the meat. As for the fur, no, just can take the meat from it.

If you're a fan of RPG's it's a must own. I went out on a limb, and bought it, and have enjoyed it ever since. It pulled me away from Ghost Recon if that means anything to you.
