Just got the game. Hope I learn to play it, because right now I'm not great with the cover system. I pretty much suck at the game right now. I traded in Saint's Row to pay towards this, hope I didn't make a bad decision.

Is it my 360/game or does the framerate drop, mostly in the cinematics?

Nope. I've heard that advice, and I won't buy it. It's advertised as a single player campaign. Yes, there are multiplayer options, but I don't want to use those. When I buy a game, I like to play the campaign mode single player.

I shouldn't have to be forced to play multiplayer for a single player campaign to make up for ****ty programming.

I don't buy that for a second.

How about we keep the unhelpful comments and spam out of the topic? We're talking about a game here, not my personal life - which is of zero concern to anyone here. Thanks.

edit: (gotta love how if you don't like something in a game and try to express it, and talk about it with people - someone brings up something about your personal life which they know nothing about).

I finally beat it on hardcore and started right in on Insane. If you don't find cover on Insane, then you're shafted. The story mode was great to me but I did play with a friend on XBL thru the whole thing so I have no idea how the teammate AI is without a friend playing along beside of you. It's still hands down the best game I've ever played and I really think that Bungie and other game makers will have to step their game up to beat Gears of War. CliffyB, Epic, and Microsoft games have made a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned. Normally, when I beat a game, I put it away or just play multi. Last night, we started right in on Insane.

I've also found the teammate AI seems to get worse with each difficulty level. Why do I even have teammates? It would be way easier without them. Hell, I had to redo the first berzerker 10 times because Dom is completely useless and kept getting his skull crushed in. There was nothing I could do about it, and that's frustrating. I shouldn't have to keep redoing levels because the AI for my team is halfway ********.

I think your points are somewhat valid, but are overstated (7 out of 10?). If you're not enjoying the game, then I don't think anything anyone says to you is going to magically increase the fun factor for you.

It sounds like a lot of your problem with the game is the teammate AI, and most people admit that it's not great. But should it be? One, I think having your teammates there adds tremendously to the immersion factor of the game. I've never felt I was having to "babysit" too much; there were times when my AI teammate would take out out an opponent and it sort of cheapened the victory for me because I wanted to be the person to do it. The part with the Theron guards comes to mind when you obviously need their help, but don't want them to help TOO much (imo). In fact, there are a lot of moments like that now that I think of it. Having to risk reviving them or get killed yourself heightens the tension (again, imo). I like being in the middle of a firefight then realizing a teammate is down, and having to risk getting over to him to revive him or continuing the battle myself.

Also, I don't think you can totally discount the multiplayer aspect of the game. I'm not big into multiplayer myself but it is ridiculously fun (I really need to start trying to run w/some fellow OS'ers). Obviously, I absolutely LOVE the game

The multiplayer itself does - but not the multiplayer option in the single player campaign. I really like to just play games myself and beat those modes by myself. I've rarely found a game in which I actually enjoy the multiplayer mode itself. I thought I would like this one - but I actually found people still just run around in the open and fire at everything that moves. I was kind of hoping people would play it more like it was intended - but I haven't come across a public game like that yet.

Like I said, the main issue with the AI of your team is that they don't take cover enough and bumrush the enemy too often(even bosses). This forces you to constantly have to babysit them instead of concentrating on the firefights. It's a shame really, because the enemy AI IMO is very good. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to constantly have to redo a battle over and over again because Dominic is such a third wheel. Sometimes I wish there was an option to tell him to go hide under a rock and let me take care of the battle on my own. GOW is a great game in many ways, but R6V is better IMO due to the great AI of your team. You actually have to use them and rely on them to get through the game.

Thats why you need to play with friends or mature people. I have so much fun because thats how me and my friends play. We travel around together and will flank people and play the game with some strategy.

Guys i'm not feeling this game at all, in fact I feel I wasted $60. I should have rented this game but my buddy at EB said it's awesome so I bought i instead.

What I don't like about the game is the following:

1) The A button does too much. This has already ready been discussed.
2) I don't link Blind Fire instead of target fire while under cover.
3) The worst thing I have found about the game is like of a resettable camera. This actually makes the game unplayable for me cause the lack of a resettable camera gives me a headache because it throws off my visual timing.

Comparing this to RB6, I prefer that game so much more because the 3 things that I find fault with in GoW are a non issue in RB6, and the graphics in RB6 are equally insane.

*update* I spoke to soon LOL, I figured out the targeting thing sorry for the stupid rant. I'm putting up with the camera as best I can but the graphics are off the chart in this game.

I just completed the offline campaign on Hardcore, and I had a lot of fun doing so. The thing is, I have no motivation to play it on Insane. The next time I play the campaign, it'll most likely be online with a friend.

As far as the multi-player goes, I think it's great, but can sense the inevitable... it will becoming boring. The 4-4 aspect is fun, and I actually like the smaller maps, especially if you get 8 of your friends online.

No doubt, this is a great game for me, but come this week, when I get R6 it's going to take a backseat.

Question,If you do one perfecr active reload after another in a "charge up" tactic will you get an 8% power boost each time?
