        That's....really good.

I could never use the hyperspeed code effectively....the notes just move too fast. For me to play well, I have to see the notes ahead of time - I just can't remember every note.

I can use the code for one thing, though - after playing a few minutes with it on, I turn it off and it looks like the notes are moving a lot slower on normal speed than they actually are. Kind of an optical illusion.

When you have the whammy bar down, do you get more poiints if you move it as well?

Nope - the only thing you get with the whammy is additional star power. (On starred notes only)

            Well, that and cool-sounding notes.

Are you sure? I'm almost positive that if you have a long enough note to hold and watch the points rack up with and without the whammy bar, that they increase at different speeds. It may just be in my head though.

I have a hard time demonstrating it on GH2 since I don't think there are any long sustains at beginnings of songs, but....

Do you still have GH1? If so, fire up Iron Man Expert and play the first note twice - once with whammy, once without. As long as you hold the note for it's duration (and don't even worry about the second note) you should get 494 points both ways.

It could be proven the same way on GH2, but to make it easier you'd have to have a long star note at the beginning of a song....Warpigs, maybe?

No the whammy gives no points, it increases star power.

OMFG. Yeah, I'll never get that one as long as I f'ing live. Bank on that one. I'm willing to bet it's probably the easiest one on Expert as well. I can't even think straight after watching that clip. I think I've played GHII a little too long, lol.

For the person who was asking about using the USB extensions with GH, they work just fine and can stretch both guitars across my living room.

That's not the easiest one, and it's also using a code to speed the notes up. Normally the notes come a bit slower, but are bunched closer together on some of the sections. This speeds up the scrolling and separates them a bit. It's easier for some people to see the note sequence when they're spread out like that if their reactions are uber-fast and don't have to look ahead to see the notes coming down. "Regular" Expert looks nothing like that. I don't think I could do that very well, and I've passed the regular Expert on the PS2 versions.
