The 2 versions are equal with the only difference being the PS3 version loads a saved game a few seconds faster.

IGN Head to Head rates both as being EXACTLY 100% the same. As such, I went with the PS3 version since I prefer the controller, quietness and reliability of the system, and this game looks, sounds and plays PHENOMENAL.

Go buy it now.

I've been trying to buy more PS3 games lately but the wife just picked up the 360 version. Ah well. Either way it will be awesome.

And I'm not an IGN Insider so that link doesn't work for me. That's why I was asking.

I am sooo tempted to pick this game up. Usually first person shooters are the only type of game I finish- Red Faction, Resident Evil 4, BioShock, Gears of War, GRAW, and Rainbow Six.

But Fallout 3 and Fable 2 is coming out so soon. However, I do live by the mantra that you only live once.

Haha just giving you crap.

It sounds to me like you're leaning towards the PS3 version though... Don't let the woes of cross-platform past affect your decision. Those days are all but gone, and for this game, there is no issue whatsoever.

Yeah, that's why I've been trying to buy all of my games on the PS3 lately. I absolutely despise the complete lack of quality opf the 360 console and M$ marketing strategies in general. I would like to give them as little money as possible.

I played through the 1st Chapter last night and . . wow. I am very impressed.

The immersion and attention to detail in this game is fantastic! Graphically, this is one of the best looking games I have seen this generation. The game engine is rock solid, with great geometry, textures, lighting, and a silky smooth frame-rate.

The "no-HUD" system is awesome too, and I am still impressed everytime I bring up my inventory or map. I love how Isaac's head slightly turns when you are scrolling through your inventory items. The game just has a lot of polish and attention to detail.

I've been playing with the lights off and headphones and the experience has been fantastic. I also decided to play on Hard, so I am extra scared. lol.

It's much better than I thought it would be. At times it's like a virtual haunted house! I almost get mad at the game for making it so bloody tense some times....like I'm already playing in total darkness! lol ...they really know how to pull those strings and push those buttons. I'm glad I rented it, and glad I still have 2/3 to go.
