Women have it easy. It's so simple to get presents for guys but it can be a chore for us trying to figure out what they want. They don't want you to buy them clothes or perfume because you might screw it up and jewelry is pretty iffy too. They don't usually play video games or watch sports so you're pretty limited there.Comment

Re: Dead Space (360/PS3)
Well I can see where that might "seem" like a problem to some. But to me I look at it in this respect.
If I was stuck on a ship with a alien form that makes humans there hosts. I think there would be only so many types.
Plus you are on a ship so you have to take that into consideration, there is only going to be so much varity and i think there is more than there would be on a real ship of its kind.
From a game point I see where you coming from. But from a real point of view I think it is pretty spot on.
8 or 9. I'm back in the level with the ship's command center, or whatever you want to call it... Maybe the "deck"?
As for the "scary" comments, I have to disagree. It's creepy, but not scary. I guess it's just that no video game has ever scared me; but in particular I've never been scared by sci-fi stuff. Definitely a great game to creep you out a bit; but like any other horror game, it's pretty predictable. There has only maybe been one or two parts where I was genuinely surprised -SpoilerThe one in particular that I can think of - is the first time that giant tentacle thing comes flying around the corner, and grabs you and starts pulling you. That I was not expecting.Comment

Yeah - that's pretty much how I see it, too. The problem for me is just that I'd rather a game be shorter without repeating itself as much, than long but repetitive. I'm one of the few people (it seems) that doesn't mind a 6-7 hour game; because often the longer games just end up running in circles, and in a video game I generally don't want to do that.

Wow, this takes me back to classic Resident Evil. I walk around slowly alwais aiming, and each individual sound makes me twitch and see where a guy's coming from. Hell, I got a text message (in real life) and that noise got me to jump for half a second lol. I love the feel and immersion of the game, it's awesome the first hour so far.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Dead Space (360/PS3)
Don't start it until you finish the others that you want to finish. I got this and NBA2K9 at the same time. I usually turn on the PS3 after the kid goes to bed and I'm forcing myself to play 2K9 first for an hour but not enjoying it very much because I wanna pop this game in, and I'm a sports gamer for the most part. I just hope I can finish this before R2 comes out.Comment
