well the japanese soldiers were worse than the nazis on more than a few occasions. There's also a reason why the Chinese still feel bitter about the whole WWII thing. I doubt this game will go into all that, so they'll probably just be more annoying than the super soldiers in MOH Airborne.

Re: Call of Duty 5 confirmed
One thing I look forward with this game is shooting people in the back of the flame thrower.
I still don't like the WWII setting, Japan, or Europe, it is still WWII weapons. However, this game might be fun. I know I played COD 2 online like a maniac.Comment

Re: Call of Duty 5 confirmed
It still surprises me that people are complaining about COD 5. You don't want Tarch to touch IW's Modern Combat. And COD 5 does not impact COD 6's development cycle at all, so this is just a bonus. If it is cool, then it is just a bonus. If it sucks, who cares and wait for COD 6. I would prefer Vietnam, but the Pacific Theater has yet to be explored thoroughly on consoles so I don't see any negatives at all. Plus, they are using COD 4's engine and adding 4 player co-op.Comment

Re: Call of Duty 5 confirmed
I will take a wait and see attitude on this one. The genre is done to death, beyond death if you can go that far - but using the same engine as COD4, I am hoping they put a good spin on it and add even more to a solid series. I am only hoping they select a wide and varied range of weapons so there is a bunch of variety for players. Maybe even transports or vehicles, landmines or booby traps...etc.Truly Blessed -Comment

Call of Duty: World at War Revealed
Published June 17, 2008
The next Call of Duty® is being revealed! You can watch the premiere of the worldwide reveal trailer for Call of Duty: World at War only on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace June 21.
Call of Duty: World at War completely changes the rules of engagement by redefining WWII gaming and thrusting players into the final tension-filled, unforgiving battles against a new ferocious enemy in the most dangerous and suspenseful action ever seen.
Powered by Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare™ technology, Call of Duty: World at War brings an uncensored edge to combat, as soldiers face the most harrowing and climactic European and Pacific battles in which an enemy, who knows no surrender and no retreat, will fight to the last breath, unleashing an arsenal of lethal surprising tactics. Peril and danger lurk throughout the battlefield as players combat the unknown risk of the new chaos of battle.
From the remains of Russia and the ruins of Berlin, to the beach and jungles of the deadly Pacific Theater, the volatile action takes on added depth as players employ new features that previously were only available in multiplayer, including perks, rankings and online stats in up to four-player cooperative gameplay, and take advantage of the new infantry and vehicle-based weapons, like the potent flamethrower, that will set the battlefield ablaze.Comment

Re: Call of Duty 5 confirmed
It actually looks good.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Call of Duty 5 confirmed
Looks pretty cool. I loved COD 2 and 4 and hated 3...Hopefully Treyarch follows Infinity Ward's lead and makes a good COD. I can't get enough of 4 though.Comment
