This discussion makes me want to purchase a used copy of RDR for my son's Xbox.

The only thing that I disliked with this game was how you could be the biggest criminal in the west, and yet you're forced to be a good person in the storymode.
One minute I'm tying a nun to a railroad track, and the next, I'm defending a hooker from a drunkard.
Or I'm not partaking in sporting women because I'm married.

I hope in part 2 your actions really do shape the environment and story.

Those things lowered your Honor and in turn were supposed to have people treat you differently. Shops would offer discounts or raise prices depending on your Honor. But as far as the main storyline, ya it only went in one direction no matter if you played as a good or bad guy.

And to add on to what made this game so great, is it wasn't all about shooting and crazy action scenes. I felt so calm playing this, as I could set out on my American Standardbred and gallop at my own pace just taking in the land sights & sounds. I would ride to a cliff's edge and just stare at a sunset. Then I would partake in a relaxing game of poker or liars dice then have a drink at the bar.

I guess I could be doing absolutely NOTHING and a couple hours go by in a flash. That's when you know you have played a great game.

What I loved the most about this game was the weather changes. When you had a thunder storm coming they nailed that down perfectly.

Saw this on Reddit, I don't think it's true at all. I think they'll come up with a better name than rdr 2: legends of the west lol. But I'm ready for R* to confirm something man

Yeah, I think the author say something like "take this with a huge grain of salt" haha. But yeah I agree, I have a feeling they are working on something as well. I'm just excited to hear about it!

Again, I must reiterate, I was the biggest skeptic when it came to following off-the-wall websites giving me Red Dead Redemption news. A lot of them came from a religious site alone!

It's been the fact Rockstar has stated, they will be at E3 in a BIG way. I could care less about those bogus reports. I'll pin my hopes on one's like this:

Take Two said they were going not Rockstar. Take Two is Rockstar's parent company and Rockstar doesn't do e3, it's not their thing. Until we hear it from Rockstar themeselves everything is just rumors.

Exactly. And I'm not taking anything away from WANTING this to be about the next RdR. The fact is Take Two and R* are not the same. And Take Two has many other games...so E3 in a "big way" is not guaranteed to be RdR news. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, I want it as much as the next. Just trying to he realistic.
