Some of my fondest memories of this game was wondering around at night on horseback gazing at the sky & stars.

Then you come across a town where all the townsfolk are asleep and all the shops are closed, only to find a poker game going on at 3:00 AM.

I would sit and play for awhile. Before I knew it an hour or two had passed and I would get up and leave.

The sun was just rising and the town was awakening with some stray people saying "howdy" and "morning". I would hang out doing nothing until that Gunsmith would open in just 20 more minutes.


Ya, this is my favorite of all time.

I'd like to know this as well. Most of what I would still like to accomplish in this game is in co-op and multiP i.e. legend rank.

The one thing this game always did was made me play another hour right when I was about to save and stop playing.

You start riding to your save point, and BOOM! Random event. It wanders you out away from everything, and the next thing you know you've played another hour.

Damn you, Rockstar! Haha.

Really?? I'm looking forward to starting from scratch and reliving this masterpiece. Starting with John helping Bonnie on her ranch and watching that first thunderstorm roll in.

So tempting to drop the 7.50 on XBL this week, ugh.....

I'd only be doing single player, are there a lot of DLC I'd eventually want to warrant the GOTY edition?

I just finished my 6th play-through about two weeks ago (only twice to 100% completion though). Might get the digital version and give it another go at 100%.

Do other back compat games have that functionality? I doubt this one will be much different.

Just out of curiosity, do you have the disc or digital version now? I have 2 physical copies (one regular and one GOTY) and can't justify buying digital on the One now.
