Wow that pisses me off.

I haven't played this game in a week and it leads me to the only flaw in the game. If you die after surviving for a while and you lose all your cool stuff, it can be very hard to get motivated to start a new character. I had a good character life going and some idiot killed me, so I haven't found the nerve to go back on.

I been playing on the 7th Cav server a lot recently. Nothing like taking a Chinook filled with 10+ real online players and assaulting a city. Extremely rewarding.

I kinda lost interest in Day Z a little. Just not enough shooting for me :wink:

Awesome. Seeing some DayZ videos got me interested in ARMA2, so for 15 bucks I couldn't pass it up (had a gift card to use anyways).

Not sure when I'll be up and running, but looks fun!

I could see myself losing interest in Day Z a bit after a while...it does seem very quiet most of the time until you run into lots of zombies or people.

For 15 bucks this game looks worth it, even if it's kinda buggy from what I've seen.

Any good links of places I should go just to get my knowledge up on ARMA2 in general?

DayZ looks interesting. Im thinking about buying ArmA 2 on steam and downloading this mod. I was going to wait for Arma3, but this mod looks like too much fun to pass up. Is it worth the hype?

I played Opflashpoint a lot back in the day and a little ArmA but my system couldn't run it well. How much different is the ArmA 2 controls from those games?

I just redeemed my free copy that I recieved last year. I'm really interested in this day z mod. Are you guys still playing it?

Played DayZ for a bit this weekend after getting it all installed.

I enjoyed it...I do hope they limit the amount of night a bit. I understand the intention, but not really as much fun to play when you can't see, so I end up finding a different server when it's pitch black.

Still getting the hang of the game, and keep ending up with a trail of zombies eating me to my death, but that's my fault. Don't know how much time I'll have to be playing regularly, but I know next weekend I'll be on a bit. I want to try and get a rifle and map and maybe not die so much.

Gotta love the people who just shoot you on sight, ugh. Realistic though!

I went ahead and bought the bundle as Amazon was selling it for 15 bucks. Where do I download the mod though? I went to the site and clicked the download link, but it brought me to a directory with a few files in there.

There is a YouTube video with instructions on it. You have to DL the zip files and extract them in your ARMA2 Steam add ons folder

Yeah, the Day Z site (http://www.dayzmod.com ) has forums that will also help you out.

It's a bit of a pain, but not too bad. Had just been a while since I delved into the realm of PC game modding, took me back a ways!

Anyone here with the Amazon version know if I can install it on a 2nd pc? I was gonna put it on my laptop too if it runs ok, but wasn't sure the rules...
