Grrr at the alt-F4 people

Running around Stary today on a server with only 8 people on it looking for some stuff. We check the military tents and my buddy takes one row and I the other, we hear a close gun shot and then a guy runs in and kill my friend. Sitting across from him I unload and drop the guy, though it wasn't a kill and as I go for the head shot he alt-F4.

No issue running up to kill someone rather then avoid, but the moment he takes hits he quits.
The plus side is I drilled him pretty good and with the 2:20 shock timer, I'm sure he'll bleed out on what ever server he jumps on.

Had crazy day.

Two of us found a couple of AKMs and headed down toward Cherno and ran into 2 guys with no weapons. We grouped and headed into town and found a 5th player who joined us. We loaded up on gun and food and watch as other players ran in fear from us. I guess a group of 5 armed guys looks like death.

We ran around and killed zeds with joy until we hit the Balota airstrip and it all went bad, 4-5 dead. My buddy and I joined up again and found our 1st vehicle, an atv. Heading up to Cherno we found a 2nd atv and went up the north to the black lake and found a boat, and again things went bad so we head west and ran into a tractor.

Also a tent with M16, Mk48, DRM. Crazy day, the most loot I've ever found in one sitting.

DayZ releasing as a stand alone game like Minecraft?

Brought my cpu over to my sisters house to show her boyfriend the DayZ craze (he is a big gamer and zombie fan). We spent a couple hours and now he is already putting together his new gaming PC. Another casuality.

DayZ releasing as a stand alone game like Minecraft?

Not minecraft engine, but like the model: Free Alpha release with updates. Like it is now but without needing Arma. My understanding is they plan to use the Arma 3 engine for the standalone. Ragdoll physics, building destruction, etc..

Found a bus, went looking for gas and found a tractor. Fix them both and headed down to the cherno with some buddies and ran bus tours for people to Elktro. I ran about 12 people between the two towns until a 50. Cal sniper shot me. So I hunted him with my axe and killed him.

Got hacked couple days now.
Yesterday had the whole server get moved to the NW Airfield for a Thunderdome event.
Today I saw two black SUV outside of Elektro and when we went into town I managed to kill 3 bandits on the hospital. 10 sec after that my frames dropped from 45 fps down too 4fps. Gear got stolen and my leg was broken. After I got my leg fixed we spotted players with M104s looking around and the vanishing and showing up in another area. We talked some trash over direct comms and how they suck. One of them talked some trash but couldn't find us. My leg was broken again and my buddies had the same thing happen.

No skill having Hackers.

On topic, I do enjoy reading your Day Z experiences, also glad to see others taking part of my all time favorite game.

We play on US 616 most of the time, other then the hacker stuff couple days again its a very stable server.

While gutting a cow in the field about Vysto I heard the thundering sound of a chopper, then it crested the ridge and flew right over me. I pretty much stood there with my jaw open only to realize later what an easy target I would have made. I also found a large camp with 15 tents and a black SUV, so I took a drive to cherno but not one person wanted to try my limo service.

The patch should drop today and fix the graphic tearing around Military stuff the last patch broke.

Almost forgot, when running out of the woods toward Elektro I spotted 3 guys overlooking the town. So I snuck up behind them sat in the middle and asked over Direct comm "What we looking for?"
I only got wounded, but they needed new shorts.

Did they try to kill you or did they just panick shoot you? Or did you kill them all.
