                    I'm excited/terrified for multiplayer in Gears 3. Great and original in the original, but I thought the multiplayer in Gears 2 was awful.

                        And the source of it all was the LAG. The lag made weapons so inconsistent that you didn't know what to expect from game to game. One game you're right behind somebody w/a shotgun shooting and they turn around and kill you with one shot, and the next game you can get shot turn around and kill the person with one shotgun blast.....crazy.

                        I'm not happy about the delay, but I'm all for them getting as much time as needed to get the netcode right, Gears1 was the first game on the 360 that had me coming in to work dead tired morning after morning.

                                        Wow this sounds amazing! So bummed it's still a year away. Capture the Leader will be super fun. Dedicated servers, spotting enemies like in Bad Company 2, new weapons, Team Deathmatch, dynamic maps! That all sounds awesome!

                                            I'm liking everything I'm hearing so far, and I'm glad they pushed it back because the feedback from the beta will help the game play so much better when it does release.

                                            Also, when I read in the IGN article about the gnasher and the sawed-off shotgun, I immediately read as E-PIC saying the gnasher will feel like it did in when Gears 2 was first released, and the sawed off will probably be a slightly more powerful yet less accurate version of the gnasher after TU6. I'm sure I'm going to enjoy the game, but no doubt people are on the E-PIC forums right now bitching about the shotgun.

                                                They really needed a beta too. Gears 1 and 2 are the laggiest popular/AAA games you'll ever play. If they don't find a way to get their lag issues solved for this game, I may not buy it. If you go play Gears 2 today, 6 patches later, its STILL laggy.

                                                    The netcode in Gears 2 is the worst netcode that I have experienced on a console game.
