Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever. -

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I came across one of the soldiers who sound like Ah-nold and he said one of the best/approriate lines ever:
"I'm not a man, I'm a weapon in human form. Just unsheathe me and point me at to the enemy."Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

For anyone's who's done the companions guild quest(or gotten far enough, you'd know what I mean).
SpoilerWhat do you think of being a werewolf? It seemed cool at first, but beast mode seems to have too many cons for it too be of any regular use. You can't use any menu's, can't loot, and have no control over when it ends. Not to mention everything attacks you on sight(except for frost wovles).-Ohio State-

Do I have to keep going to the little menu to switch between my weapon and magic? There's no shortcut button?Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
SpoilerMarkarth? The one that involves a string of murders? If yes, that one was FUN.
After exploring more and increasingly getting my *** kicked by mages and guards and bandits in the western portion of Skyrim, I have decided to finally head into Whiterun and get some main quests going. I've racked up tons of side-quests and haven't run into any dragons so I think it's time to live up to some Dragonborn legend. Geez, this place is huge!
Plus, I need a house.Comment

Ran into first quest bug, "Trouble in Skyrim", gotten from the Companions, registered as completed before I could turn it in costing me the reward gold.
Also I ran into hired thugs andSpoilerI was able to run them through, and gain a fair bit of loot in the process. I found the contract and it said it was from Gerda for being a thief. Gerda? Who the **** is Gerda? Oh well, I'll go sell some of this magic loot so I pop into Dragonsreach and who do I see standing there to greet me? The maid....Gerda. I guess I wasn't quite as sly as I thought while I was stuffing my pockets with anything of value. She didn't say a word about it though.Comment

First thing I did 5 minutes in - it's unbelievably well-done!!!!
Peaceful at times, and daring at other times...after DAYS of playing this game I haven't once said to myself, "This soundtrack is getting old"

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
SpoilerStart again from an earlier point (if you can) and give the girl the note for him, lying. You will eventually get him as a companion and you can train anytime you'd like throughout the game. It's a win win situation and your archery will go through the roof really fast.SpoilerYeah, in a lot of other games I'd do that, but I've done SO many little things here and there and have no idea how long ago in my story it happened. I checked back to the last previous visit to the town, but he was dead then, so it's just not worth it to me to backtrack almost all the way back.
No worries for me though. They'll be other trainers later and archery isn't a primary skill of mine or anything anyway. I've just chalked it up to Skyrim being an unstable place and that dude just got got

SpoilerFor the bounty hunters thing:
I'm not sure if it's a bug or by design (weird choice if by design though) but if you steal from certain people or places it is known whether someone actually sees you do it or not. You'll get no bounty or crime, just the thugs after you. They'll be no mention of it after the fact though and it doesn't seem to affect any other interactions.
The same happened to me (with the first innkeeper in my case). I got my *** handed to me several times (I was only like level 2 or 3 when it happened) before getting lucky going crazy with fire spells. Nice loot as a reward though.Last edited by SoxFan01605; 11-15-2011, 03:28 AM.Comment
