Highly recommend Daedric over Dragonplate. Unless you like the looks of the Dragonplate, the Daedric can be upgraded much higher than the Dragon armor. Plus, it looks amazing.

My armor rating is now up over 650 after leveling up heavy armor to 80, and having the 25% boost to armor for wearing a matching set. Plus, I found a blacksmith's potion to let me improve my armor even more. My dude is such a tank.

I would honestly rank it above the likes of Mario 64, Chrono Trigger, FFVI, FFVII, A Link to the Past, and Ocarina of Time. IMO it's that good.

Yeah..I thought Batman AC was....then I picked this up. Truly two amazing titles. And I have been gaming since the 2600. This year is no doubt the year of non-sports games.

How can I carry all of this armor and still be able to run? There a way to make my guy stronger?

          Stamina determines carry ability/amount.

I understand that Daedric armor has higher base stats than Dragonplate, but I prefer the look of Dragonplate, and it's a lot more practical to create. The materials for Daedric armor are a lot harder to come by.(Thus far for me)

Oh, and you are going to need about 7 to 8k in gold to do this (maybe less but trying to give you a safe number).

It is kinda old already, but you probably lost the post in this long thread.

Alchemy shops have daedric hearts every so often, the companions have a random heart in their chambers, vampires and mages you encounter may have them lying around tehir caves, and a certain mage in Winterhold sells some hearts in his black market shop.

There are ebony ores on the tippy top of the grey beard's mountain. You cant reach unless you have a certain shout during the main quest (all of you anti main story guys are **** outta luck for those ores) and there are some ores behind an orc camp slightly south east of Windhelm (follow the road and randomly go off track, a marker should show on your map eventually).

The daedric armor is worth it. I dont get why dragon armor was 100 in blacksmithing and daedric was 90. Daedric is way better.

Agreed on Daedric. I basically ignored it until after I had unlocked Dragon armor. After I crafted the Dragonplate set, I checked the stats on the Daedric, only to find that it was better. Not to mention it looks cool. I like the Dragonplate and all, but it's all Daedric from here on out. I figure i'll just equip my followers with Dragonplate since it's easier to make anyways.

I've been wearing light armor all game, so my light armor is way higher than heavy (80s, 30s). This makes Dragonscale the best for me at this point. Plus I only one piece of Daedric and one weapon at the moment due to the shortage of hearts.

But I like the look of Daedric a little more so I'm going to be looking in mentioned locations for more hearts now.

Pretty sure it's just heavy. I could be completely wrong though. From what I could tell, the right side of the smithing perk tree was for heavy armor, and that's the side Daedric is on.
